GoW 2?

i just beat GoW, and i was wondering.
If you think theres going to be a Gears of War 2, because at the end you hear the leader saying it will never be over unless they take the planet, or die out.

I am almost certain that they are making a GOW 2.

I'm not sure of the exact words, but it was very similar to this:

The idea of the trailer is to set up Marcus Fenix as the hero in the Gears of War trilogy.

Absolutely. Do you think any sane game company wouldn't capitalize on a franchise this golden? They're going to milk it for all it's worth.

agreed. especially since this is microsoft we're talking about. any hits they have like halo will get made into a huge series, and the merchandising will make it a household name in third-world countries.

There will definitely be one. Aside from what tural has stated there are numerous things just screaming that there will be one. And if GoW 2 is like GoW in form or part, then it will be even more ass kicking.

I would assume Epic games will make a sequel. In an iterview with cliffyB (creator of the game) he said that if the game was succesfull they might do a sequel. And just how unreal tournament was successfull (lead to 2 or 3 sequels i forget) They're bound to make a sequel. Also if they dont make a sequel why would they end it with a cliffhanger? It does make you think but tarnishes all you did to get that far because you've worked so hard and all you get is a "well you did good but we're not done"

But on the contrary epic games is busy with unreal tournament 2007 which they are very dedicated to so only the future will tell.

Im sure there dedicated with UT2k7, and actually it started as Unreal, Unreal Tournament, UT2k3, ut2k4, and now ut2k7, im missing 1 or 2 so about like 6 games in the series.

Yeah, its been confirmed that GoW is the 1st part of at least a trilogy. Hopefully they branch off on the story a bit more.
