please help out a noob

alright im a total noob at this so any help is GREATLY appreciated.
im trying to mod the assault rifle (haloCE) in gMAX. but when i save it, it saves as a .gmax file and i cant import that back into the game...so my question is, how do i get my modded AR into the game?

I'm pretty sure you save it as a .obj and not a .gmax file.

lol im not that much of a noob, it doesnt give me the option to save it as anything else

Did you try exporting it to a .obj and not just save it?

Never used gmax, but I would guess you click File-Export then select the .obj format.
