For Sapien you don't need it.
You need it for making new levels.

(Hey Im new to the site but I know how to mod so please no N00b remarks.)

Sorry if this is considered advertisement but it can really help a lot of people. I know there atre many of you who are awsome 3dDesigners with gmax but yo just don't have 3dsMAX to convert files into .max type of files. go to http://www.discreet.com and go to the products tab to download a free 30-day trail version of 3dsMAX6. This trail allows you to do absolutely everything that the original 3dsMAX6 can. After you are in the download section of the page go to 3dsMAX, then on the right-hand margin there should be an option called Free Trail click on that and go to Download Free Trail (Do not go to "Stream Free Trail" as the link is broken and will smply take you on an endless loop around the site.)
And there you have it a 30-day trail for 3dsMAX6 with all the abilities of the original. I hope this helps.

By the way sorry if this has been discovered already and if I just repeated what someone else said so feel free to insult me for that if it happened.
