Okay okay i know that they have made halo books b4 but my friend wrote another one, a one that comes after halo "3" supposedly. But it sucked so i am re-writing it completely. It could also be made into a game....
Basically the story goes that a "Cloaked" halo is somewhere in our solar system, and on it, are flood that can take over machines and intergrate themselves (basically they are bio-mechanical ones) and anyway. This group of renegade covenant discover the location of it and how to de-cloak it. Anywayz, they use this new slipspace technology that they stole from a human research center, come out right next to the ring, decloak and land they have engineers, elites, brutes, hunters, grunts, jackals the whole deal, they also have all the technology.
Thats it for the covenant cuz they all get taken over by the flood and the flood quickly jump out of there, just after 14 Destroyers 9 cruisers and about 30 of these new ships appear, but they cant trace the floods destination.
There are new spartans "Spartan III" and they all now have active camo, advanced shields and specialized weapons. MC trained them, and there is this black armored spartan who is there new captain And wow he is better than MC. After the training is finished they are all put into cryostasis and are put at strategic points right around the earth, to be activated incase there is an attack on earth. The black spartan isnt in cryo stasis though, and he is sent to the ring with MC to see what happened (they already know that all the flood are gone so they know its safe). MC and the black spartan land in a Longsword, they inspect the ring and find heaps of info about these flood. They are just about to get back on the ship when a flood appears latches onto the black spartan and infects him. the black spartan knocks MC out and runs aboard the longsword escaping. MC wakes up and has about 3 hours before he gets picked up, so he goes back into the forerunner base and finds some armor left behind by the forerunners, they like have energy swords that come out of the wrists, but they have small reserves of battery power so he can only use it in small amounts.
MC gets picked up and about 30 days later an infected covenant fleet appears and takes control of earth. They cant acces the cryostasis pods without special codes so they cant infect them. Your mission is to save all the spartans. In the end you save all of them and there is this huge battle between all the spartans and the infected covenant. Cortana leads the spartans, in this MOJLNIR armor that she designed for herself. And you fight the infected spartan, in the end there is this movie that shows MC and the infected spartan running at each other, the black spartan has an energy sword and a plasma filled bullet M12AB, and MC has a shotgun and another plasma filled bullets M12AB, both of you use those up depleting the shields. In the meanwhile on bridges either side of you the flood and the spartans are fighting, and ur in the middle of all this crossfire. MC stick his shotgun under the black spartans head and blows his brain out while the Black spartan cuts off MC's head, both of you die, and the spartans destroy the Flood. Cortana comes running over and cradles you in her arms. That is the end

that sounds pretty sweet. but i dont like the idea of MC dying in the end, maybe cortana would cradle him in his arms and then something would happen like a teardrop would land on him and he would wake up. the end. also you could have them realize they love eachother... a lot... and then they would do........ stuff............ the end.

1. MC has 2 die, but there is always a possibility that a spartan that he saves in the game lives on (eg. Like with Neo and that kid in the matrix)
2. Cortana is a computer program she cant cry, she might be able to create a tear by mixing the right compounds but she cant cry
3. Cortana is a copy of Dr. Hallseys mind, of course cortana loves MC because Dr. Hallsey loved john like a mother.
4. as i said b4 cortana is a cyborg so she cant do stuff and as i mentioned in 3 even if she could you would think it quite disgusting that cortana a recreation of Dr. Hallseys mind who is a mother figure for john is making babies with him......
