ok i know i sound like such a loser asking but i am an ULTRA n00b at this modding stuff.

I need to know how to apply a ppf file to a map.

i looked at the tutorials and didn't get anything. It only had applying ppf for xbox and said i needed a ppf-o-matic. that wasnt in the DL section and if i needed it i have no idea. So i am still confused

use ppf o matic, and relace the words ISO with halo map and Patch with the hack (you will know what i am talkin about when you download the program)

Even though PPF stands for Playstation Patch File, you can use PPF-O-Matic to patch your PC map files.

Either one works.. I use ppf-o-matc because I'm too lazy to get use to anything else (even though people say it is easier)

HHT allows you to do many ppf's at a time, so its more helpful

ppf fles work for EVERYTHING but are written usually specifically for files.. if the ppf is in the pc section it makes sense it works for the pc... plz ur brain.. god gave u one for a reason.. least i hope he did.. hehe

ok i have same question as 100 posts, but none has answerd to my corncern this - ok i have got ppf-omatic and HHHT, neither have helped me AT ALLL. HHHT seemed to be working, but when i clicked apply patch, it didnt change gulch file at all!!!!

boy i sure wuz desperate...lol.

anyway-u probably aren't patching it correctly.
1.first of all make sure it's a ppf patch.
2.then make sure other ppl have actually made it work.(there r some mods i've DL that don't work)
3.open ppf-o-matic. go to the ISO file and choose the bloodgulch.map
(u will have ta change the CD Images type of file to 'All Files')
4. choose patch. (make sure it works for BG) and slect it.
5. press 'apply patch' it should say patch applied sucessfully burn image to cd now!(i have no idea what this means)
6. if it doesn't work u gotta mod by urself.

ok well, i did what u said... almost all my problems could have been fixed with 2 clicks..

but, i did it, and i was trying to install (patch, whatever) the hogwars mod, it said the cd burn thing like u said, but didnt patch right. im geussing the file doesnt work, but the thing is, i downloaded the mod from this site! (halo mods, duh)... i dont think that it would have a bad file, especially when so many people download it from here and it works..

waittt there may be a mistake, not being that the file was bad. the last step (the one i got stuck on) on hog wars installation is ~ Also in the rar, was a bitmaps.patch.ppf. Use PPF-O-Matic to apply this to your bitmaps.map folder. -apply to bitmaps.map folder..? does it do that auto?
sry im such a noob... someone just taught me the basics on hex, and im learning how to use some of the things in HTMv3...
