What is Bungie Teasing Now?

In Forge mode, the colour of the player is limited to the 8 or so team colours. Your primary AND secondary colour are the same, too. So it is possible that that part of the film was recorded in Forge mode.

If you look at things like Forge FX, in Forge they appear as a blue sphere with a camera in it, but can not be seen in custom games. Unless Bungie are releasing a new map based on Tron, I think a similar thing is happening with that grid on the floor.

But those also don't impact gameplay. The grid, being the floor of the map, would have to be there, or the map segments would have to be sealed with invisible walls, or, the idea I find very unlikely, there would be an infinite abyss that players just fall and die in when they leave the map segments.

Actually that would be good for making maps that you want people to fall off of (like lockout, guardian, ect.), though I doubt that it is the case.

Just to clear any speculation, The AI on those maps, are all static and cannot be changed to dynamic. Meaning if this is some sort of map editor and it does allow you to place "bots" they wont move. It takes weeks to stitch a map with correct AI zones, Its possible that they will stay in one spot and attack from there, But as for moving it ain't gonna happen. Another thing could very possibly be is that they create sections of a map (walk ways, walls, ceilings, cross sections) and stitch those with the zones and you place them as you would please. But thats about as far as the AI aspect goes.

Well, the dedicated and obsessed halo fan would probably work a few weeks to do that.

But Bungie probably isn't going to go that far. They're probably just going to have simple zones so the AI can do basic stuff. I'm guessing the AI will have the average smartness of a dog (charge, get hurt, fall back, charge).

But the thing is, we really don't know And we won't until A) Bungie announces it or B) They release it.

The AI wont have zones at all, Think of them as the turrets on snowbound, They will not move, but that can still attack you, So you place you AI in one spot and that guy isn't moving for anything.

The AI doesn't need a designer to designate all of the environment details for it to move around...

so wait i jus checked on modhalo he front page says its avalible to download for 3500 MS points true?? and is it a mpa editor or not because i want to get started making some maps

Thats not out of the question, it could be possible to make it automatic, But either way you still need to edit the actual map to do that, How are they going to do that on the maps that are on the CD?

Sorry for the dounble posteses.

I think I know what this is for.

In one of the bungie weekly updates they said they where not able to make it to the gaming awards to recieve there award but they did make a little something for them because they where not able to make it there. I believe that video was it.

Wow, what ever it is hopefully it wont disappoint. Now I'm just throwing things out there but aren't there a few button sequences that can be pressed in local that have certain effects one of them maybe causing a grid to show up? Since there is cam and of course lower your weapon\no animation. I highly doubt that is the case tho.

O as for them releasing another dvd for what ever this might be I highly doubt it since that would cost them more money then its worth and it could simply be done over XBL unless its like 4gb...

Also one last thing you would think that bungie would have released this long ago since they might not have agreed with H2 cheating mods but they themselves played a lot of the "fun mods".

September this will probably come out since bungie said in friday before last's update that there would be a update this month and something mind altering next.
