Honestly, I could care less. Halo lost it's appeal, I don't think i've even played Halo 3 in months.

I should save this for the rant thread, but the correct way of saying that phrase is "I couldn't care less" implying you cannot care less, because you already do not care at all.

I don't understand why the phrase changed when it got to the U.S. It doesn't make sense.

Oh, and when is the actual date for E3. I've googled it, but the results all seem different.

It can be understood as sarcasm so both versions work.

Not excited for this. Hopefully it is fake.

I don't expect much to become of this...

That is besides, HALO 4: FRANKIE'S REVENGE.

I still love halo 3. No need for Halo 4 unless they bring something pretty new and exiting to the table...But they won't because it'd be too different or something.

I agee with iGeeo, while yes 'could care less' is meant to be used sarcastically, I say it has no place on the internet because sarcasm is hard to convey via text (especially when I couldn't care less works better anyway)

Well I think it would be cool if they continued the series. I just can't fathom what they'll do in Halo 4. I bet the flood comeback. :P

(or it will be like this)
@Caboose: r mastachief wil be liek "hi 4runners doods, you look like me" and they'll give him ninja cat sidekick.

I was under the impression the flood/rings story arc was completed. It'd be unlikely that flood make a return.

I would hope not. I hate the point in Halo where it gets to the flood. They're probably my least favorite enemy in any game.

Yeah in Halo 1 the flood were sort of a nice change when I got to them, but I can't say it wasn't a relief when I could fight covenant again later in the game.

I think it's a love/hate thing with the flood, at least for me.

I love to hate them.

Actually, on hindsight... I think I just hate them.

Hopefully, if something does come of this... it could be like the start of the war, or based on a book or something.

I hope theirs not ton of flood. I play halo only at night, and zombies jumping out at you just freaked me out. I would literally yell and fall of the couch. Especially Halo 3's Hi def flood. Anyways, I hope Halo 4 is going to be really good. If it isn't, that will be a drag.

i like the flood, well if they do make a halo 4 it should be better then halo 3, as well dont make the story revolve around the chief.. Make it revolve around a marine.

On a side note i think i could of been cool if you could play as a brute/marine in halo 3 multiplayer.

uh seeing as some of the brutes are larger than the chief and arbiter/elites it would make it an unfair advantage because there would be a larger target to fire at, while shooting at the smaller spartans and elites would be mroe difficult as they present less of a target because they dont have enormous girths like the brutes. and playing as a marine would just mean they didnt have shields and they also present a smaller target which would be even harder to fire at with a battle rifle or a sniper, and the fact that the marines dont have shields that would just show that they would be a simple kill. and if you were an ODST it would still be a simple kill, if you ever killed an ODST in the campaign it would prove my point as a simple kill, also it relates to the marines and that being the size of the character.
but then that is my logic speaking and it may be different from what you guys say.
i think a halo 4 would be cool but if it was from the view of a marine or ODST that would be pretty sweet, possibly the follow arby back to his home world where he encounters a different enemy? or they could follow chief through his drifting in space. and they could cut in and out of cut scenes with cortana wondering the half or so ship that they are stuck on. but there would mean no gameplay until the ship lands on the planet.

Your logic doesn't quite fit, with regards to the ODST's and Marines...

"They're smaller targets, but they're easier to kill"

Surely that's pretty balanced, whilst they're harder to hit... they die quicker as they have less 'health' than brutes.

Other games manage to balance different 'Classes' or 'Races' in multi player, so I don't see why it would be a massive problem here.

Halo is a game where your abilities aren't based on the class you choose. Your character model does not impact gameplay at all, that is how they want it to be. It is by design. That is not what they wanted to do. If they had done such a thing, they would have to scale marines up to be abnormally tall, and scale Brutes down to be abnormally short, and they'd have to give them all shields, change their jump heights, and so on. It would eliminate any nature of consistency in the campaign and multiplayer. It wasn't a choice they overlooked, they deliberately made the game the way they did because it is their game to make, and they want it to be a certain way. They want to have the consistency throughout the previous games, throughout the campaign, and so on. They don't want shielded giant marines and tiny Brutes in multiplayer. They could do it easily, they do not want to because that is not the game they are trying to make. It isn't a question of possibility, it's a question of the nature of their game. If they wanted random people to make the game, it would be credited to "A bunch of people with no consistency and abiding by no specific ideas for the overall game" instead of "Bungie." Their game, their design, their choices.

This, and if they made you play as a marine it would kill the story and confuse players.

I wasn't suggesting they do it, I was just saying his argument was a bit contradictory, with regards to the ODST's.
