shooting ghosts out of rocket launchers

ok. i'm making a really cool mod with new guns and stuff. one of my ideas was to make a gun like the rocket launcher shoot a vehicle. an example of how this could be used is shooting a ghost across bloodgulch to help out ur friend with the flag escape.

so far i got the ghost to shoot out of the rocket by swapping the meta numbers of the ghost with the rocket projectile in hmt. my problem is that when i shoot the ghost it lands on top of me. i can't get it to fly even a couple feet out of the rocket launcher. (i tried changing the weight but it doesn't help).

anyone got any ideas?

well.. there could be an explosion that would propel it the second u shoot it, altho it would still kill you, and to make an explosion happen where u want it to go youd probably have to get 2 projectiles shoot at once.. or soemthing, i think im thinking too hard :?... shooting it out of a vehicle would definitely work, i had ghosts shooting ghosts.. really messed up

there is a way...I just forget how to do it..that same thing happens for grenades...

well i thought of the explosion thing but when i shoot it i don't want it to kill me. I also don't want it out of a vehicle because that would defeat the whole purpose.

make a new blank spot in projectiles and insert the ghost in there. then crank up the speed

ya, change the speed at which it comes out.

ghost doesnt have a projectile dependincy, so u cant change the speed


i had an idea, but then it died. (un-null the projectile dependincy in hht)

you're forgetting that NONE of these are practical... this guy wants a ghost halfway across the map...

i said what to do about 4 posts ago .. man you all really need to learn how to read... there is another way to do it but i dont think its what you want you could just duplicate a projectile then change its collision model to that of the ghost and its model to that of the ghost.. i ve done something like this with a rocket and master chief

I think he wants it driveable to.
To insert the Ghost in Projectiles, just swap the tag name to [proj].
Just a theory though...

replace the grenade projectile to the ghost, and put its movement speed at something stupidly high, thus when your throw the ghost it flys forward a bit instead of just crushing you.

then maybe swap the grenade meta for the rocket?
