The explosions from the maw work great for nuke effects, although I had to edit their meta quite a bit to make them look right and to get their timing right while still retaining the nice lens flare effects. I also had to edit the debris and some other things that just didn't fit.
That's cool. I never got quite that in-depth with it, although I may yet... the mod that I posted is the rough draft, so to speak.

Thanks! I was trying to find a way to make the pistol effective without being a kick-ass explosive like the other weapons in the mod. That idea came to mind, and I think it works pretty well. I also like the upgraded needler/plasma rifle... it's really TOO effective, but it's funny to see people pinballing over the map when the needles start exploding.
I have a question about HMT. Is it possible to upgrade it to batch extract from custom maps? I ask b/c with a mod like this, there's no way I want to go back and redo all the work - but it seems like I can't batch extract it any more, so there's no way to bring in textures/effects from other maps. (I'm working on a new mod now that is a snow-covered Death Island with some altered weapons, and I made sure to import everything I might possibly want in advance.)
