HELP

im getting an xbit in 2 days and i burned a evox disk on nero, however i did somthing wrong and my xbox says the cant read disk error:, i have a xbox v1.0 with i think a tompson drive, (its 1 big hole if that helps) and i downloaded the evox on a memorex cd-r, another thing i must tell you is that i have tried to burn music on other burned disks on my xbox and i have allways gotten an disk read error, however if i used the original cd it works...........oh and i ISOed it what i think is good but i truly think that is the problem,..............PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

correction it is a philps DVD drive.

You said you are getting an xbit....
Does that mean that your Xbox isn't currently modified?
...if that's so, then that's the problem.
An unmodded Xbox won't read anything but originals.
Btw, there are lots of good thingies online that will help you
identify your DVD drive & Xbox version.

1)your xbox isnt modded yet so theres no way the evox disc could be read

2)you have a dvd-rom drive that isn't capable of reading cd-r's ; when you get the mod chip, burn evox on a cd-rw and it should work

That is not entirely true. If you tweak the drive you can actually get it to boot the disc but with out the modchip it will just go back the M$ dash. Install your chip first then try booting it up. If you have a dvd burner use that.
