Halo 3 Plasma Rifle [Update on page 2]

tazz, i got your pm and played around with your skin some for about 10 mins or so. very nice but you need a way to edit the complete cubemap for it on all sides. if i find a quick way ill shoot you a message.

heres a picky of what i did.

and plz, dont be lame people and ask me for it cause im not giving it out. this one is tazz's baby.

What you should do is add a little more blue into the plasma rifle and add a little honeycomb texture into it aswell.

can someone offer some detailed pics? im working with a IGN stock photo here. im doing this just to do it for fun.. listen to caboose tazz.. he has a point.

Yeah I needed some decent photo's too, thanks Voltage, now I can majorly update it, and yeah, it really does need to have cubemap edited so it appears on all of the purple shell.

Thanks bunny for help with the smoke.

I will be adding another update soon, as now I have decent pics to work from.

taz, if you want the skin i was working on let me know. i was kinda messing with it for fun nothing more then that. youve done some awesome work on this and cant wait for it to be released!!

Update:

I have taken a close look at the detailed halo 3 plasma rifle pictures posted earlier on in this thread, and I have done my best to get the extra parts of the gun in there without making any changes to the model.

Also I re-skinned the back of the gun to make it more like the actual halo 3 one, using stock screenshots are hard to use so thanks Voltage for posting them screens.

At first I weren't sure about adding the metal part at the front as its not in the exact place as the halo 3 one, but in my opinion, I think it looks better (Using Yelo Battery to create the halo 3 angle):

This skin is about 90% complete now, I just have to add a few lights on the underside of the gun and maybe a faint texture to it too as stated in a previous post.
