NBC is now officially on my shitlist.

I do pretty much nothing at my job so to pass time, I watch a few different television shows and some podcasts. Three of the shows are on NBC and I used their "NBC rewind" to watch the episodes because I figured it was a decent system and I didn't have to wait for the entire show to finish downloading before watching (torrents). I'm also very against advertisement on the internet which is why I use adblock plus. Adblock plus would block all video advertisements in the episodes on NBC which was amazing. However, NBC has just implemented a new system which won't load the shows if you have an adblocker running. I tried to do things legally and they just fuck things up.

Oh well, back to torrents for me...

P.S. sorry for the long rant...I'm really pissed about it. Missing good shows because of NBC faggotry is serious business.

Yeah, especially now that NBC pulled its contract with Apple and iTunes, so no more NBC shows on there... Hell, they're just asking for it.

I sympathise for your situation, as I can't stand ads either. Not just restricted to the Internet though (the internets ads are controllable)

My internet cut off randomly in 4 online rounds, then it made Live think I quit, then made me go down nearly 2 ranks.

Multi-task. What I like to do is when the ad part comes up I mute it then check my email, msn, or do some quick chore around the house.

Well you kind of do...People don't boycott tv, magazines, gaming, movies, walking the streets because ads get in the way. The internet is just another medium for people to attempt to convince people to get their shockingly bad, worthless overpriced product.

My rant: When people whine about people not speaking their language. I think it's rediculous. I'm talking about the ones who think they shouldn't even be allowed in their country unless they speak english. Seriously, I hear so much more garbage and annoying crap from people who SPEAK MY OWN LANGUAGE. It's just a small annoyance that people can just learn to get over.

Now about it affecting workplaces. I'm sure someone would think or reply to this saying it does become an issue in the workplace, which I don't deny. IMO though, speaking english is just like a quilification. I don't think it should be something to judge someone for. Like say a job requires you to have computer knowledge. I consider speaking english as an option, not something that should be forced.
