I think it's an actual hardware malfunction. The screen went blank once, froze a lot with these static bars and then made some very odd sounds before freezing some more.

i got mine!!!!!! oh by the way i hate save film. i was rewatching it and it made me look like an idiot in campaign!!!!! i was litteritely walking in circles!

happens to everyone when i play halo2 co op at my friends house we walk in circles and rarley ever finish a level.

You hate the saves film feature just because of that? Thats kind of stupid. Well I love the idea of saved films, its amazing, makes you learn from your mistakes. You can watch other teams strategies aswell.

I found myself doing that even in multiplayer...I'll stop to look at something, or spin to see some orsm motion blur or turn on my flashlight to check out the texture detail/bumps...Replay just makes me look like a fool.

Yeah saved films sound pretty cool. Like people/bungie have said, there can't be any more bullshit from my friend who is totally obessed about the game and stretches everything he does tenfold, and also believes he's the only person on the team that does anything :/

EDIT: 1.2 Million Players in the last 24 hours. That's pretty good. (and that's only the people who were online) And if things are backed up, that number may be lower than the actual one, don't know. Either way, that's quite a few people for the first day.

Picked up my copy today, but I don't got a 360... And was dissapointed when the DvD couldn't play on the dvd player. Will it work in a xbox or only the xbox 360?

I tried the same thing. I have limited edition, but no xbox 360 yet. I did it so I could watch the extra features anyway. I never heard anything about it being another 360 disc. Everything I read said it was a dvd

Ah I see now, there are movies you wanted to see.

Anyway, they are DVDs (they're not some special format MS created) however it's safe to assume that they're only readable by the 360.

I'm just curious, what happens if you put an xbox disk into a computer? (what is viewable on the disk?)

i thought about that awhile back let me see what happens ill post results later *runs across room to grab xbox disk*

EDIT: i put a original xbox disk in it showed a video clip of earth with a back ground some other stuff and then in green text said "this is a xbox disk please insert into a xbox to play."

i inserted this into my computer dvd drive i am running windows xp and watched it on latest wmp.
