My bad. It's almost flat and has smoothing errors all over it. The grip and slide are all one face which what is causing those errors.plushiefire wrote:Its not flat. dl it and view it.TomClancey wrote:It's completely flat and has numerous errors. I suggest you watch some tutorials on modeling before putting that up for download.plushiefire wrote:mehG.I.R. wrote:It doesn't look like a Glock pistol
Speaking of tutorials, here's a great one.

Silly metkillerjoe, I posted that already. ;pmetkillerjoe wrote:There is no detail on that gun!
Link to a tutorial series on making a Beretta 9000 (best there is)
Study it religiously if you want to make weapons. Also, use Google as reference.
Except mine has videos 1-9 all working. FPSbanana ftw!

Yeah, I realized that about a sec after I posted and I went "d'oh!". But I just didn't care enough to take it down.TomClancey wrote:Silly metkillerjoe, I posted that already. ;pmetkillerjoe wrote:There is no detail on that gun!

Oh well. Anyway, here is my kind-of contribution. Its scenery for my map. Took about 30 min to make and it looks good for that amount of time (might update with some normal and parallax later):

Edit: 457 Poly

With specular and textures:

(I know the textures aren't tileable, but I didn't have the time to make them tileable).
Crit welcome. Again, until somebody comes out with a model compiler, it probably won't appear in game (because to nail it to the BSP is a royal pain in the @$$).
By the way, to the people that messaged me about the actual "what is it?", I'll repeat. Its an axe in wood.
I hope I'm not... too old fashioned.

I don't know. I'll optimize. I don't really think that that is too many. I see guns with a couple of thousand. This isn't your run-of-the-mill (no pun intended) axe. I don't want it to be another drab piece of scenery.Leiukemia wrote:How did you manage to waste polies on that :/
I'll make another low poly, though.

lol, those silly C's. As soon as I get my old models from my brothers pc I'll see what I can do with fixing them up a bit, then I'll post them. Here's the thread with the ones I'm talking about (please don't post in it, it's very old) http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=49830 . There's no uvw maps or anything, so if anyone really wants them you'll have to do it yourself.
