Any copy of XP should have this, it might just be in a diferent spot, for example, I had to go to System in the control panel to find it.

It works perfectly for me. I have a Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 at 3.4GHz and 2 GB hyper x Ram. Decompile takes 14-20 seconds and rebuild about 1 minute or so. My OS is windows XP.

I hate you. :(

Also I think we should allbebasing our time off of the same map. Im sure that a map like Delta Halo would take longer than somehting like Cairo Station.

XTHIRST wrote:MAJOR TIP!

Ok, I have 1GB of ram.. say thats not working for me and I want 4 gigs of ram, but I don't wanna go and buy it. Well, heres my/your fix.

1st - Go to Start > Control Panel
2nd - Click on Performance and Maintenance > Adjust visual effects
3rd - Click the tab named "Advanced"
4th - At the bottom there should be a "Paragraph" named Virtual Memory.
5th- Hit the button named "Change" and make your settings look like this -

http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/5466/settingsuy0.png

6th - Hit "Set" and then hit "ok" and then hit "ok" again.

7th- Restart your computer and you have 4 GB of ram!
A paging file is no substitute for RAM, please dont try and fool yourself, you will most probably see a performance decrease with this method..
