On Halo 1 (xbox or pc) at Assault on the control room at the last part of the level where you first fly the banshee, there should be 3 brackets on the large tower, stand on the second one.

and you'll hear this

AWW...i remember doing this long ago...back when halo 2's release was being pushed back once more...
