Please Help Me Out Someone!

Post by superguy355 »

Here's the problem. Well, I'm a advanced begginer at custom content and editing Halo Custom Editon, so I don't really know too much about it. See, the problem is that I want to put some grunts with ai into a multiplayer map, and I know it's possible, I've seen it done and played in those sort of levels. I have downloaded numerous packs of bipeds tags, including grunt.biped, which is the standard grunt tag, along with the actor_variants, including several custom ones I made. The tags are accepted by Guerilla, but Sapien, the map populator, will not accept the tags, saying that the working directory needs to be corrected, or saying it is inable to properly load the file. I have also extracted manually grunt.biped files and actor_variants with Halo Editing Kit Plus and the Sapien will still not accept them, making the same incorrect loading error messages. I have also extracted the entire Pillar of Autumn level, for it has the grunt file in it and still Sapien wouldn't accept it. Sapien will only accept vehichles and the Master Chief. If you want me to be honest, I'm not even going to insert the map file into the playable version of the game. I just want to give grunts ai in Sapien, and watch them fight each other. Also I have thouroghly watched many tutorials and have followed them step by step but it still won't work. I have even reinstalled Sapien and the other parts of HEK numerous times. If anyone knows what the problem is or what it may be and/or what the solution is, or who may be able to help me, please tell me. Also, if you need any other information to help me, just ask and I will give the best answer that I can. I will greatly accept any help whatsoever I recieve. Thanks very much.

BY THE WAY, I checked all the tutorials, twice each, literally. They Did Not Help.

You need to make sure the dependencies in the tags point to the right place. If, in Guerilla, the writing of a file path is red, it is incorrect, therefore you need to navigate to the tags and manually correct any incorrect dependencies. Do you get what i'm saying?

Yes, I understand, and come to think of it, I remember leaving some lines red. Thanks.

EDIT: It still doesn't work.

EDIT: Ok, so I got it to work, but everytime I try to place a grunt on the map, Sapien turns off.
