Why Can't My Friend JOIN MY GAME?!? [Halo TRIAL]

Post by Sapfirewand »

Ok, I made a game and everything, didn't change of those Network Setup stuff..

This is in Halo TRIAL btw.

He can see my game in the list but when he clicks it, it keeps saying retrying and then unable to join game.

Any ideas? :?

Yes, you can. I've done it. But I suggest the person with trial hosting, not the person with full.

that wasn't my question...

of course we both have trial...

it just says that he's unable to join each time he tries. He sees it and everything and everything is proper. I can join his game though. And it seems that NO ONE can join my game because each time I try no one ever came. EVER.

so any ideas.

If you have a router, did you forward your ports for Halo?

I have a router, but i'm not using the computer wirelessly (don't really know how a router works :()

You know what. I think it is the router... that's like the only thing that could be blocking the connections.

Forward port 2302 to your computer's IP address (not the router's). Check your router's manual on how to figure that out because if you use a website to find out your IP, it will just tell you the one that points to your modem which directs it to your router. I think there's a site called portforward.com or something that'll tell you how to forward ports on practically any kind of router.

I have had the same problem as you, but I finally got it working. Just open your halo game and click profiles, click whichever profile you want to alter and it should take you to another page. go to Settings-network set up-host port. Then just type in 2303, this is the number just allows you to connect to the game hopefully.
