kornkidcrazy wrote:Just open shade's app, and make the bsp size and magic the same number as the bsp you are converting. Then, just open hex workshop, find the bsp in the sp map, select the size of the bsp (same nuber as the bsp size above), and then find the bsp in the mp map, select the size of the sp bsp, and then copy and paste. Then just open shade's app again, go to the 2nd tab, for imput map fin the sp map, for dest map find the mp map, and for the small box, if this is the first bsp, type in 0, then press ok. This adds the raw and such for you, plus it relinks everything.
I get a 'The system could not find the file specified' error.
Your supposed to extract the ISBSPR file to C:\Windows Or F:\Windows or whatever drive you use +windows lol
lol, does anyone else get this issue: I did a few conversions: shared->waterworks, lockout->midship, and some easy ones like that. But, whenever I do a sp conversion, I always mess something up. It is odd.....

Yeah, they're big and its easy to make mistakes. Just take your time, that's pretty much the best I can say.
Yeah guys im trying to do the shared bsp to coag conversion with shades and silenced deaths tuts. I have a problem after i save my work in HEX workshop. I just pasted the new bsp then saved. I try to open up my new coag in Shades pointer tool, and i get an error that says:
Unhandled exception.....blah blah
Non-negative number required.
Parameter name: value.
Then i wanted to try fixing the magic shades way in DM but the map wont open there either. Can someone tell me whats going on cuz i'd like to get past this step. thanks

Well, the simplest way for the shared bsp, is to open shade's pointer tool, and fix the magic and bsp size so it matches the shared map. Then, add the bsp with hex, open shade's app again, and do the auto raw add/fixer. Then, just edit the dependancis with ADI and null out the lightmap. Ta-da.

Didn't he say you would get that error? Was it something about a non-negative number or something? Cause I think shade said if you get that error just hit continue and it'll still work.

Dear Silenced, you can find better
I was reading the french traduction of this tuto, but (cause i'm french) i realized that the traduction was completely wrong : this isn't french XD !!
so i realized a real traduction (did by a french ^^) you can find it here :
Well i tried doing the BSP again the way that kornkidcrazy told me and it seemed to work until i had to open up coag for the last step in ADI. When I try to open it in ADI i get (this same error occured with Dothalo also)
"Exception of type System.OutOfMemoryException was thrown."
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.
************** Exception Text **************
System.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type System.OutOfMemoryException was thrown.
t_mann05, that means you probably injected a bigger bsp than the map could have. Check in the Uber Analyze Tool and compare the dark blue lines, the yellow lines, and the tan lines. If the SP lines are bigger than the ones in MP, you most likely won't be able to do that BSP.
And slaj, hehe I tried. Thanks for the translation.
