Lol you guys...You know you can pass a SEAL test in the navy for staying up for a week...You guys with you're dissorders can probably pass it
Ok, anyway, young people listen to adult conversations and only pick up a few bad things from it....Maybe you're parents are having an intelligent conversation and they're using curse words....You're lil bro or something is listening to the whole thing and the only thing he learned was the curse words...Same thing with children and rated M video games lol.
BTW, I know I went a lil off topic but at least I'm not bragging about dissorders..
I think this topic has turned into more than just children playing video games.

I think I was about 7 when I played and completed Final Fantasy 7. They are the fondest videogame childhood memories I have ever had. Correction: Only intellectual kids should be able to play videogames before the age of 11.
i am doing the same thing pie...but, no, they do not, they only leave you psychologicly aroused, and if you take that the wrong way with other factors, then yes, it can cause slight aggressiveness, butI don't think that they promote violence...
my dad is always telling me that halo might make me do the next columbine or something (not that he thinks i would, but i do play it alot)
and i know for a fact if i did anything like that (which i wont) it definetaly wouldnt be because i played some video game
so no, i dont think video games promote violence
now, there was that one really gory game rockstar made, and i think that may have already caused some sort of violence, so really i wouldnt know
I believe the game th3_halord is talking about is ManHunt by Rockstar North. It's probly one of the most violent, disturbing games out there to date. Now, back to the topic at hand; I think some games promote the use of violence, but dont necesarily cause it. Halo, for example, promotes using violence against the Covenant. Now, this doesnt cause you to shoot at your neighbor, who just happens to look like a grunt...
It is very true games influence kid's minds, there should be limits on what young people play, especialy around the ages of 8-12. Most children (if raised and taught properly) know the difference between games and reality, so its fine for them to play some violent games.
Altho a little off topic, another common mis-conception is; people who like guns and games using some sort of gun (ex:paintball) are always violent. This is not the case, as many normal people play paintball as a sport, and some collect guns as hobby of sorts. (I myself play paintball, and I'm not violent.)
In conclusion, it is not the games that cause violence, it is the players own mind that determines how they act. If someone cannot see the difference between a game and reality, they shouldnt be playing.
Little children that play like GTA VC think its a fun lottle game and can be done in real life
but in real life u can reset or load a previous save after u killed someone or did somthing rong
VC is a very good game to refernce on
its telling u that killing peopel isnt rong unless u do it infront of a cop
and u cant use a cheat cheat to make the police go away or to u make u invincible or bring some one back to life
video games dont make people do violent things...
adrenaline and basic human stupidity does...
not knowing whats wrong or right or life problems does also
if u hate someone that much ur probly a teen we all hate verything sometime s just work it out... dont think about killing urself or other people
ok i hope peopel understand what i mean by all of that

I'm 13, I guess that's kind of close. I don't feel the need to go out and kill people or do anything I see in a videogame, beacuse it's not real and I know and understand that. You wouldn't get rewarded for killing in real-life, but infact punished.I mean, the FireFox thing in my sig doesn't make me feel the need to set a fox on fire. heh. Hope the "child" helped you guys out.
I honestly dont know what happens, seeing as the facts are thus: We, the USA, have THE most homicides involving guns than any other country in the world. Many a night have I spent deliberating this dilemma... what is the cause? Violent games may have some input, but Japan is the manufacturer of many of these games, so why do they not have the same "problems." Could it be because of violent movies? No, in America we have a movie rating system that says that certain groups of people should not be able to see a particular movie, such as kids under 17 and R-rated movies, however France has no such system, so even little kids are free to see the most violent movies, and they obviously have no problems. But video games, no, but it may have something to do with it. I think that these killings have the most to do with the fact that the thought process of the American citizen is that almost everything can be solved with a gun, the adverb "violence solves nothing" obviously has no meaning in this country. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that mental conditions are "on the rise" when most people dont have these things, we think that every little flaw in the human psyche can be solved by a pill and thats just not true. Perhaps it is because of the amount of stress this country sustains as a whole, that people are more apt to just "snap" on a moments notice. Perhaps it has to do with the leaders of this country, I dont know. I have spent so much time philosophizing about this topic it gives me a headache, Im one of those people who need to know an explaination for everything. But that could be another reason couldnt it? This country always strives to be the best, so that could give people a false sense of superiority that could lead them to the view of everything and everyone in their path as objects in the pursuit of ones own personal wants. But to recap, video games could have something to do with this, I will keep thinking until I come up with something. I hope this helps.
Ill add another input.
Video games promote violence, but at the same time they dont
Someone who wants to do violence, just wants to do it. Video games dont drive anyone to do something, but merly teach them how to.
Say a bully beats you up in school. You go home, parents dont care. No one cares. You pick up your ps2 controller, and sit down to clear your head in some GTA. But as your playing you notice how easy it is to kill someone. How fast it is to make them go away. Then the idea builds gradualy in your mind, until you you realize what has to be done to solve the problem.
Anyone can think like that^^^
Its a scary world we live in. Alot of the attacks of violence are just parents not listening to problems, and not spending enough time with thier kids. Without that love and support, they become very "interesting" people. And thats a main cause for alot of the attacks.
Thats my 2 cents(Intersting if you think about it. If someone asks you, "A penny for your thoughts" and you put in your 2 cents. What happens to the other penny?)
Im gonna sticky this.

Yeah, I've seen it. It has a bit too much emphasis on romance, but it's generally pretty good...if you don't mind watching something which is 80% music
