Well, my friend told me that Bungie had a section on the Collectors Edition Special DVD for the first Halo Pc....before it wasa even thought of for xbox. I didnt watch the dvd yet(i havent beat the game ) but judging by these pictures, it looks pretty bad. For some reason I want to try this version of Halo.
i dunno it just looks different. The Elties are way different then they are now, and the jackals look like dinosaurs. The Master Chief looks like the Borg from Star-Trek, and the banshees (not in the picture) are brown. I also heard that the sounds suck to. For some reason, I want to try this. I dunno why. How many of you would also try this if you had the chance?

Therefore I think it was pretty good for that time.
And I dont think you will be able to get your hands on it, because I think there were never AI scripted. Just models.

Yes i know it was done in 1999. But nevertheless, it raises curiousity.

Awesome. When I beat Halo 2, i'm definately going to watch that Special Edition DVD. I've already watched some of it because the temptation was to high, and I spoiled some things. It would be interesting to know how that game was though. It's for MAC, i know that, because I heard somewhere Halo was originally for Macs.
Lol. It's just amazing how far we've come since this version of Halo. Not only graphics, but gameplay to. The sword is the exact same one thats in Halo 1 for Xbox and PC.
I can look back in time and remember thos good ol' Windows 95 days.

Hey guys yeah i remember whne halo was first talked about it, i was a fan WAY back when, i was mad because my computer wouldn't handle the graphics back then LOL (it was running on geforce 2 and they actually made a commercial showing off its "power" LOL)...but in the EARLY EARLY verisons (before the pictures) the hogs were actually hummers (not h2 the originals), and it was all gonna be 3rd person, and was gonna be multiplayer like planetside. And there was rumors of peopleing haveing to have to pay for online play. The levels were gonna be huge too but they toned them down. I had a video of some old footage but my harddrive crashed...but it showed the different weapons like...(as shown in the picture the battle sword/knife which i wish they put back in). But they had like 3 different rocket launchers, a gattling gun/mini-gun, flamethower which they installed on pc later after xbob, and had fighter jets for the humans.....
And the story behind bungie is that bungie had this great idea for a game and had the technology but, i don't they they were getting paid a lot (of enough), microsoft needed an "sure thing" game to get people to the console, somebody saw a beta and instead of doing what nintendo does, and pays for the game, ol bill did better and BOUGHT the company which is hilarious to me....any yeah i remember the ol halo, there was even a video were masterchief and a sword and killed an elite with it...which started the first rumors of cheif having a sword in halo 1 and halo pc...
