Halo Graphics Bypass

my graphics card sucks and being a major halo fan i went out and bought Halo PC. My pc wont run halo because halo does not let it because of direct 3D. I was wondering if there is a patch or someway i could bypass the graphics requirment check

Bypass? Getting new drivers [software] may help but in all reality you need a new video card. Search this forum for comments about the best video card to get.

Well if you read the readme.rtf file I believe it gives options to run the game in backwards compatible modes. That avoid certain higher direct X interface usages.

ie: -useFF -use14

etc..

But if you're card is fundamentally lacking in DirectX Support, then I'm afraid you might have to go find some homebrew drivers that 'fake it'.
And even that might not be possible.

If it complains that you're card simply cannot play the game, there are some things you could in theory try, but in order to give any kind of advice I'd have to know the brand and model of you're video card man.

my advice is to also just go out and buy a new one, you can get cards that play Halo fine with all graphics for as little as $100. Go look around for the Radeon 9600 series on newegg.com.
