help with saving edited lightmaps

help with saving edited lightmaps

i tried to follow kirk's tutorial, but he never goes over how to save the lightmap, and after i finish editing it, it doesn't show up in my final map.

please if anyone knows tell me, because it is really annoying to have fixed up all of the light map just for me to have to do it again later

question for you, how do you edit the lightmaps? pressing the brush button, changing the color and then what? i've tried almost all combinations on how i possibly could apply that light

Unfortunately I dont think you can save it. This has been asked in these forums many times but no one has found an answer. Kirk does it in his tutorials but if you download splinter the light he added to the tunnels dosnt show up.

i read some people are modding the hek and there "releasing" it (date unknown) i also read that, the save lightmaps button was enabled so just w8 fo that, in the mean time try something else :s i guess

So, is this still the case? I have a hobo, and the save lightmaps button crashes my scenario permanently- it basically corrupts the lightmap so I have to run radiosity all over again.

I just ran final radiosity on a map that took 24 hours and there's something I wanna tweak slightly, but I DON'T want to ruin the existing lightmap... any ideas?

Night camp is made by somerhino, in his renegade mapping days he made manual lightmaps and he had a tutorial for it, basically he takes an angled screenshot of his objects, darkens them and applies them to the scene. He probably did the same in night camp, the tutorial was for renegade but i will see if i can find it..

but i cannot find his old tutorial for it although he probably still has it somewhere.

i have the hacked HEK...it unlocks all the stuff Bungie locked....PM me and ill get u guys links

i really dont understand what you guys mean when you says... "the things that Bungie locked" what exactly did htey lock?
