I've been campaigning against bad grammar and spelling since December.MasterChief2552 wrote:d00d, the spelling in this forum is far beyond hope, so don't try to save it

what are some of the bandwidth req's for TS? it would be kind of interesting to be able to talk to some of the people here, bounce some ideas off them etc... maybe it could be by invite only, like a small group that could start off, and invite other people to the server if they display enough maturity to join and have inteligint conversations etc....
speaking of bandwidth saving? anyone ever heard of Bit Torrent? something like that could help save on the bandwidth of this place...qustions? PM me...

Generally speaking, you want people to be online and sharing the file after the download is completed, how many of these people do you see doing that? lolkasper4christ wrote:what are some of the bandwidth req's for TS? it would be kind of interesting to be able to talk to some of the people here, bounce some ideas off them etc... maybe it could be by invite only, like a small group that could start off, and invite other people to the server if they display enough maturity to join and have inteligint conversations etc....

true, generally you want people to keep there torrent open for a little while, but for the time that people are downloading/uploading, it would take some of the load off of the main halomods servers, i mean, we could have something like a rolling archive of the maps, like say any maps that are over one week old, get archived and put on the halomods.com tracker, so that if you want it, you have to go look there, so more bandwidth could be saved for the newer maps, that could be downloaded in the normal way, that could even work like with the movies and stuff, so people could in a way host there own movies that are a bit bigger than the reqirement, i should start a different thread for this huh? also, i found a way of archiving halo map files that yeilds a better compression rate, its called UHAarc, its still in beta, and would have to be downloaded as an EXE, but all in all the files when packed are smaller than even RAR, plus noone would have to ask where to get the software to open the map with, cause it would be packaged in its own self extracting archive... again PM me if you want any details.. go to go.. i think im gettin a little off topic here but oh well.
