Ow!! That hurt. It still stings...

Ok, so I messed with the shader file. Now what? I extracted a clean one from the Halo disc and I'm still getting the error, but only after the patch is applied. WHAT DO I DO?? I need this patch to work, now.

Well i have an idea...

when you uninstalled halo did you restart your computer? you might want to try that, or check if all the files were deleted...

this is strange...

Try uninstalling, restarting, manually deleting all of your Halo files (hope you have your CD key handy, you'll have to reinput it), restarting again, then installing. That'll for sure wipe everything.

Will it work on a Nvidia GeForce 6200?

Please read the topic. If you can see shaders on the things that don't have to be fixed by my patch, then it'll do something.

Um, I did, and my game looks like the "Without" screenshots. I want to know if it will work and how to install it.

Dude, your graphics card doesn't matter as long as you can see shiny shaders on the things other than what are fixed with this pack. Now tell me, can you see shiny shaders on other things besides the things this patch fixes?

I don't exactly know how to tell the difference between specular lighting and shaders. I can see reflection and shine effects on surfaces but not bloom effects and stuff. My card supports specular and T&L, that's basically all I know.

Ok fine sorry, all right? The "OMG" made it seem like he was trying to make me feel stupid. Anyway, light reflected off my Warthog when I drove it, which means the patch will work. Now I want to know how to install it.

Extract the PPF from the rar file with WinRAR or something else, like 7-zip. Get PPF-O-Matic 3.0, Select the ppf with the button next to the "patch" field, and select bitmaps.map with the button near the "ISO" field. Make sure to choose "all files" in the menu that appears, or you won't be able to choose bitmaps.map. Hit apply. Play.

I have PPF-O-Matic already so I'll try that.

Be sure you applied it to bitmaps.map, and that that bitmaps.map file is in your maps folder, and third, be sure you're using Halo PC, and not Halo CE. This does not work for CE.
