Halo 2 Mod Version 5.31

Installation:
1- BACK UP YOUR EXISTING MAP FILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2- Apply bloodgulch.ppf to your bloodgulch.map file
3- Apply sounds.ppf to your sounds.map file
4- Apply bitmaps.ppf to your bitmaps.map file
5- Run the game and create a LAN game (to prevent anyone from joining your game, unless, of course, they have the mod as well) with all vehicles (to get a real sence of what the mod offers).
6- Join a specified Halo 2 mod server (look for IP's in the forums)
What's included in this mod:
1- Battle Rifle (Assault Rifle w/ NEW MODEL, modified skin, recticle, fire sound, weapon-ready sound, barrel flash bitmap, accurate scope sight and weapon specifications)
2- Guass Warthog (Warthog w/ modified skin, lights, recticle, fire sound, and weapon specifications)
3- Civilian Issue Sports Hog (Warthog w/ modified skin, lights and sporty enhancements including edited model)
4- High-Impact anti-aircraft tracking plasma launchers
5- Ghost has higher rate-of-fire yet causes less damage per landed hit
6- You will conceive damage upon crashing a vehicle into a wall or other object, including another cyborg
7- Brute's Grenade Cannon (Fuel Rod Gun w/ new model, skin, fire sound, detonation sound, projectile and more!
8- Sub Machine Gun (Pistol, w/ NEW MODEL, modified skin, recticle, fire sound, weapon-ready sound, reload sound and weapon specifications)
9- Covenant Sniper Rifle (Sniper Rifle with w/ NEW MODEL, modified skin, weapon-ready sound, fire sound, reload sound, modified projectile and weapon specifications)
10- HEX edited HUD messages (ex: Picked up a battle rifle)
11- Added and modified various sounds and sound effects and visual effects
12- Gravity Rifle (Flamerthrower w/ modified skin, weapon specifications and detonation bitmaps)
13- Dialoge upon entering/exiting Warthogs
14- Updated sound effects and visual lighting effects!!!!!!!!!
15- Cool new meshed flag look with chrome flag pole
16- New frag grenade model, skin and explode sounds

Things to be aware of:
1- All custom models are TEMPORARY until the HEK is released!
2- DO NOT attempt to play with any of the modded map files on a non modded map, you will get severely undesired results. This is why you MUST BACK UP YOUR MAPS!!!!
3- Once the editing kit arrives, you will see extreme progress with this mod, especially the new vehicles and weapon models. Also, look forward to playing this mod with Mrs. DoubleFire's New Mombasa map!!
4- I need your opinion on the Warthog tail lights! Are they too bright? Do they look dumb?
Things to expect in further releases-
1- More accurately modelled Battle Rifle, SMG, covie sniper and other weapons

As far as updates go, I haven't worked much on the mod lately in anticipation of the HEK comming out. That's when my mod will really take off. Just have a look at a few of the things I already have here waiting to be injected with the HEK.

One of those pictures you see there is an early render of the New Mombasa map, currently under construction, which will go hand-in-hand with my mod. I also have many other things in store which I do not have any rendered screenshots of including an accurate SMG, an ATV, a Brute Grenade Launcher, Covie Sniper Rifle and many other things which also include a Shadow, accurate Plasma Sword, accuartely modelled Gauss Gun, remodeled Warthogs, and so much more, way too much to list. You guys should really expect one kick ass mod once the HEK is launched.
Special thanks to Mrs. DoubleFire, SupremeTaco and Dr. Lime for the awesome models that are waiting to be shot into the game when the HEK hits, and also for a few of the ones temporarily being used in the game right now!
This will be much more than a mod. It will be a full-blown game. A completely diffrent application from Halo PC, including completely diffrent UI menus, music, SP missions and all. You are going to be able to compare this to the Half-Life and Counter Strike deal. Halo PC= Half Life, Halo 2 mod= Counter Strike. After the HEK, this will no longer be addressed as Halo 2 Mod, but actually Halo 2 PC instead, due to the fact that I am confident this will be the best and most accurate Halo 2 mod availble, plus the fact that it will be treated as a completely diffrent game.
Also, from the rumors, one can judge that Halo 2 will never hit the PC, so this will be as good as it gets, unfortunately
Of course, we must wait for Microsoft to get off their lazy asses and get that damn HEK out.

edited edit: and howabouts calling it something other than halo 2 pc, produce your own content, because really.. thats what you're gonna do.
Halo 2 is on xbox, made by bungie, and its copyrighted, With a different name you have all sorts of chances for distinguishing your product,
things liek graphic design, narrative, color, story, levels.. like you said halo 2 mod equals counterstrike.. well isnt counterstrike a different name than half life.. and isnt it kind of sweet and stylized? just an idea.

or maybe just post them? I could work on them, or something... I need a starter model to work on, im gonna try to make a really good battle rifle model for this, but I mine as well just start working off someone elses, but try to edit it enough so It wouldent really look like theirs at all (but of course they would get credit for at least most of it)

Your mod is the best thing to happen to Halo thus far!! Also, I noticed in a previous post you were looking for someone to run a dedicated server for your Halo 2 mod. I have just got a server up with the mod so please contact me so we can get this mod as popular as Counter Strike was.

Not the best mod playable, but the work done for it and the resemblense with halo2 almost already says that it must be done by a few of THE most talented modders around.
BTW are there any dedicated servers playing this mod (and when it dates up his updates) like 24/7, and if so could someone post the IP's.

Hey, nitro, if you don't mind i'd like to port this mod to xbox, well what can be ported n e ways, but hmt won't extract the bitmaps properly for me, so if you don't mind it being ported then could you please post the bitmaps you modified?
and i know someone already ported like version 0.9 but the newer versions look much better.
