ok listen....i know ur new and all but you can't bump old topics. if u wanted to ask a question u go to "new users click here" they will be happy to answer ur questions but if u do something like this ppl just get pissed off. I for one get extremely angry when i see a mod made in september get bumped up to december.

Hello, I downloaded this mod and applied the .serenity to the Zanzibar map and put it in the maps folder on my xbox hard drive. But whenever I try to load it it says "failed to load the map."

Help? :?

Resign the map.
I thought serenity does that anyway?
Maybe the problem is you did not overwrite zanzibar on the hdd? or that you did not apply the serenity to a clean zanzibar perhaps?

modding apps like ch2r or adi have the ability to re-sign a map, but serenity does not. if he doesn't have one of those, he could also use the encryptomatic signature tool, which is what i suggest. it kicks ass, and is a very small and newb friendly program.
mimesis. get it. it's good.

I just have to tell you how much I enjoy this map...

One night I put this map on my Xbox and played it for 4 games in a row with a friend of mine then we put some more maps on my Xbox and lost this one. I then spent 40 minutes straight (wasted a high) unlocking my HDD, hotswapping, patching, copying, locking, burning, searching, searching and searching. The next day I woke up and about an hour later, I tried finding this map again...for hours. I eventually posted a thread here and someone told me it was called Biohazard II. It took so much friggin work and I don't regret a thing, I didn't want to play any other map (I downloaded the killtrocity map pack that night and was still only interested in this one map). Since I downloaded this map last weekened (Tuesday now), I've played it what must be at least two dozen times. There isn't one thing about this map that I don't like. I told one of my friends about it, then he played it with me and because of this map, he wants to mod his 360 asap.

Night time on zanzibar! A great map just got even better. When I have a 1 on 1 encounter, it always surprises me. The ability to just switch to another weapon without a light and disappear behind a wall...love it. The starting weapon having a flashlight was a great idea. When I respawn, I have to walk covertly to get another weapon so I'm no so obvious, and the weapon itself is perfect. The sniper rifle is no longer a golden gun but instead requires a steady hand and knowing when not to give your position away...awesome idea with the laser. I could go on and on about the weapons...

The background of it being zanzibar thats been overrun by flood is cool, sticking someone with flood is even cooler.

bottom line, favorite map for any game ever. I'm gonna look into how to play this over the net. Masterpiece, ScottyGee, masterpiece, thanks.

I feel honoured that people still enjoy this map, even with the modern standards for modding like bsp conversions and AI, my old wittle mod can still be fun.

Thanks :P
