lol; Yes; skin is too rough; no offence. Warthog was a disappointment. The AI cannot melee people close-range. Well let me rephrase that. They cannot HIT close range (So like when on the turret...). I haven't noticed any of them throwing grendaes yet... Ummm; whats with the light casing by Blind? they are way to light. Ummm; AI is fitting for size but they get really repetitive and annoying; mainly they don't talk, lol. The no-kills from AI annoys the hell out of me but I don't know what could be done about that. You should have boxed the level with death barriers. I can get out in 2 seconds and just sniper everyone down below. Or run away with the enemies flag and hide by IWHBYD. Oh and I do believe that the courtyard is too bright; and the sky... well doesn't fit with the rain; you need heavy dark clouds with rain, not wispy high altitude ones...
8/10 AI I need that death taunt and random insults...
Map Skin 6/10 I couldn't tell if it was skinned or just darkened by lightmap. Those that I did notice were done badly.
Custom Guns 10/10 But whats with the AR flashlight? And the sniper has Nightvision 24/7 when used... should only be on zoom.
Light map 9/10 not dark enough; probably should have 0 light and used custom light placement to light the map... random black-outs in a corridor could lead to very interesting fights.
Sounds 1/10 there was next to no ambiance sounds... and few placed sounds. only the banshees (which incidentally look like two rockets for guns... *not enough flames*) made any noise impact on me.
Total 7/10 Good, maybe great but unfinished in my opinion.

Awesome, but its not working for me!
I mean i got through the serenity patching stuff it worked fine.
But then when i send over to my xbox i see it in the mainmenu and it doesn't say "failed to load map" or anything. It's just when i start it up it freezes. and just remains on the pregame lobby...
Please help! i really want this!

Meh I don't see whats wrong with bungie's map skin with a darker lightmap.JacksonCougAr wrote:lol; Yes; skin is too rough; no offence. Warthog was a disappointment. Also the AI threw grenades at me before when I played with TBZ.
If you played the map thoroughly, you would also notice the demonic/evil voice talkin from the speaker. I thought that was a beautiful touch and added to the map's overall hit.
To be honest I haven't seen an AI mod yet that isn't repetitive. And in a small map arena, I doubt you should see them non repetitive, I mean, in SP the only thing that doesn't make it repetitive is the fact that you move on, but this is meant for multiplayer, and making them respawn sounds like the only thing to really keep the bang going on an arena like this.
Clouds you may be right about but heh.
Also if he made the lightmap any darker, I would be blind >_<.
Its hard enough to see already, so i guess it really depends on the TV.
But everything else sounds good and fixable.
But what I'm trying to get at is, the repetivity can't get much further than what it is in an arena like this, etc.
Even if you spawn a squad somewhere, they die, you wait some time, respawn another squad, then after 5 mins you respawned the squad you killed(delaying some squads) It would still be repetitive. Thats why I tend to stay away from the current AI mods, but with the research being put into it now, I'm really looking forward to it.
Again looks good beezie. Keep it up.
That isn't a touch. That is a corrupt sound. Even in the Outskirts conversion done by E7ernal, the voice is there. It is a Swahili voice that is corrupt.-DeToX- wrote: If you played the map thoroughly, you would also notice the demonic/evil voice talkin from the speaker. ROFL!
Yeah, nice catch McT0asT, it was totally a corrupted sound. Well, not totally, just slowed down, heh, wierd.
Anyways, I was gonna just inject a new sound, like, music or somthing. But, I decided to leave it in, because after testing a few times, the "evil/corrupted" voice kinda grew on me.
Chopped & Screwed=FTW!

It is a nice map, has a real good feel to it. It gets a little laggy, and as someone else mentioned, if you don't kill the AI, it gets real bad. Also, the confined area makes too repetitive. T Beezie, I want to see you finish the RaceTrack conversion I saw in the pictures section(the cinematic BSP). Good job dude.

I honestly don't understand why people say it gets laggy if you don't kill the A.I.
The respawn scripts are written so that the A.I. respawn upon death. Meaning, another will not spawn until another one dies. Keeping the number of A.I. bipeds in play to a constant, never-changing number.
I actually fell asleep late one night while testing the mod... and woke up like FIVE HOURS LATER! =O
To find the battle still going strong.

Glad you released it, but saddened at the mass of people complaining about the look of the Lightmap and the skins. I think it came out amazing. All I did was The Hog skin, BR, and something else I think. But I was there from beginning (Night Ops Single Player) to end. Any other mods you make, hit me up. I am always open for anything.
Wow thats a corrupted sound, I thought beezie injected it haha.McT0asT wrote:That isn't a touch. That is a corrupt sound. Even in the Outskirts conversion done by E7ernal, the voice is there. I still think its a nice touch. It grew on to me alot. It sounded pretty demonic and slow.
