(MAC APP)NMG

Post by Lambda »

well I found this cool application on the web. Because I wanted to make normal maps (and now that we got a dxt converter I can inject them!!!)

So what it does is that it makes normal maps, sorry for any confusion

NOT MADE BY ME

this takes you to the website, where the download is.

So far all I know is that it must be in .jpg to open, and it saves as a .tif

also I am Archangel for those who saw this at HaloDev

enjoi

EDIT: before and after

i don't see a difference. if that is all it does is change the extension, then this is nothing special, it is easy to write something that would do that for mac. anyway photoshop and preview both can convert the file from .jpg to a .tif

gosh, it doesn't change the extension, what it does is it MAKES a normal map from a .jpg, then saves it as .tif

the important part of the above functions is that it MAKES A NORMAL MAP

Halo CE. Other than that, nothing really, it doesnt work if you put it as a multipurpose, it just makes it rele shiny. Sorry to burst your bubble.

CE isn't even on Mac is it? Whats this good for then? Not flaming, honest question, im just wondering what this can be used for.
