[plugin]Scenario tag plugin for HMT

Post by Choking Victim »

Alright, im not into pc modding but for some reason i began making a plugin to get more familiar with a compiled maps tag structure, this unfolded into a huge plugin with just about every field in the scenario tag unlocked. Along the way I found a few values that even guerilla and sapien didn't display like scale and position of trigger volumes. Giving a trigger volume a scale of 0,0,0 makes it not enterable by the player, therefore making it useless. Have fun i suppose.

I highly doubt that. Conure's moved onto full app's.

Looks like it could be a useful plugin though. NICE!

Not bad, this is pretty good but HMT is still pretty weak.
I suggest you move on to eschaton, it supports recursive reflexives so that you can get EVERYTHING. It also is getting constant plugin support from alt, only thing he hasnt added is indexs (thats cause hes a nub that doesn't wanna put in extra work). One of the things thats really nice about recursive reflexives is how much more open it is, but it takes longer. when i made my scnr.ent it took somewhere close to 8 hours cause i had to fill out all the ai stuff.

This is very good though, not trying to detract from that, but i think you would do better with eschaton.

keep in mind conure, i don't do this alot, i learned how to make plugins like two days ago and merely did it to further my understanding of halo's compiled tags, and it helped indeed. I don't think ill make any others, unless theres a huge demand for it. Also I haven't modded pc in a long long time and haven't heard about that program, you have a link?

EDIT: found it.

Ahhh, thats good reasons. I started it because i couldn't in good consciousness release phenomenas plugins with functions so i had to make my own. You do learn a lot bout compiled tags, but i find it makes a lot more sense once you understand map structures too.

not really, in order to reach the plugins true potential, they will have to be rewritten in a better format. eschaton's plugin system supports recursive reflexives and several new data types (new as in HMT didn't support them but eschaton does), which can (will) blow HMT away. So these are great for HMT, but eschaton could probably do this and much more.
