So as I was pondering of how I hate that if I am reading a tut and i dont have the program there talking about and i have to go search for it. Well as I came across an idea of I make a program where all the most-up-to-date moddding programs are they combine to 1 program where u select the program and click download and it downloads direct from the URL. So I made a Program called Halo Gateway. please be aware that there is going to me MULTIPLE versions of this program due to the newer modding applications and bugs that might come across. So I announce Halo Gateway!

yes but like all in ones are usually just the files this is a lot neater. Such as if u need only a certain program not dl the all in one taking like 20 minutes ro just dl all the programs. This is much easier.

Edit:Maybe you shoud also dl it and try it b4 u flame.

well like i said this is just Halo 2. IN later to come version im upgfrading it to. Halo2,Halo2 CE,Halo2 PC, Im eventually gonna make it a all around halo program in versions to come.

are you hosting these apps on your server? If so I can help you make this app better like check for versions and such just hitme up on aim

He's saying you could add a button or menu item that searches for updates on your server, and if there is one, downloads it. Making it easier for users to update.

Ah, now that would add a very nice touch.

It has already been done pretty much, in DaWanderLee's 'Program Organization Simplifier', which is years old btw. Just though I'd mention that so to bring it to your attention, 'DarkxShadow', that we don't need anymore organizers.

Resigners, post-gens, re-makes, and now more organizers? Why not try making something that is New, Innovative and Involves a .map file.. and if you cant do that, don't bother releasing anything

You have to get started somewhere.

Obviously, but that does not mean it has to be released.. in fact in about 99% of cases that means it definitely should not be released.

It doesn't always have to involve a .map file.

Yeah, but it should be new and innovative, or have better and easier to use features than the predecessor.

I was thinking about adding a map downloader, so that you could just click the map you wanted and click download (each map would be rar'd, so they are about 12-18mb).

But, then I remembered maps are illegal. However, if someone wanted the program, I'm sure they could find me easily.

yes maybe the idea has been done but that is not what the creator is getting at, all these programs either you have to dl everything, like it was said b4, or the program doesn't have everything

the purpose of this is to dl the ONE program you want, i mean if you want one program and you dl aio then your dling stuff you already have

so i guess you can say the sub purpose has been done but not the main purpose, universal halo is more like a modding tool than it is to help find tools you need
