People should make Java Halo modding programs, then it would run on mostly anything.
If you want to make a flying biped it wouldnt be too hard to do it by hexing. Just open up the flying biped plugin i made and find all of the offsets that need to be changed and then compare them to something that flies. then just copy those parts and insert them into the one youre editing.

People don't make halo apps in java because java blows ass. They should all be made in C#, but they are made in vb mostly because vb is the easiest to learn, although C# and C++ aren't much different, but java just sucks...

Rename the "biped(flying)" to "bipd" lol. It is a wip so i figured i shouldnt mess with the original and confuse everybody else. Just check the flying boxes, put 0.0001 under biped weight, and fill in the values at the end with the ones provided. you can change those around a bit. the format is somewhat similar to the halo1 plugin for a flying biped. They just edit different speeds and angles.

dont forget to check both "flying???" flags. yea thats all u need to do. the item pickup distance u can probly leave the same but thats how Aztec had his so i wanted to copy everything to make sure it would work but im pretty sure he only used that for the camera part of his mod.

Not like this hasn't been said about a million times or so, but farklem you rock!

There are of course better apps to use for modding the first game, but for Halo 2, this is THE APP to use.

dunnoo but I have discovered a problem unsure wether it is dothalo or the .net framework, well apart from the many crashes the programe has i noticed that if you have a tag with multiple bitmp in it then when you inject into one of the bitmp it makes the map corrupted and un-playable (comes up with this is not a halo2 map) seeing as how I am re-skinning the entire thing (now that I have sorted out dds) i was forced to use ch2r, buit even that says array out of bounds.. any ideas or is it a known problem and will be fixed in the next release?

hey i want 2 build a map, but my choices are only the maps i have and when i go there and click bloodgulch, then rebuild map it says 2 w8 4 an update wats wrong?

Im trying to load the halo 2 v1.1 to see exactly what the update changed and how much it changed everything. everytime i try to load cache files i get "not a valid map" error. Does dothalo not support the new update? or what?

Sorry for the uber lack of updates. I have become addicted to developing apps for the xbox. What does this mean? It means DotHalo that runs directly on the xbox. I am still working on an onscreen keyboard and filebrowser but after that I can get into the fun part of the app. Don't ask where to get it, if you don't know where to get homebrew xbox apps then you should figure that out. I don't have a set release date yet but it shouldn't be too much longer.
The rules are at the top of the forums for a reason.
