No tutorials are written and none will be written unless someone wants to.

How do i take a tree form SidwWinder XBOX (NTSC) and put it into Blood Gulch XBOX (NTSC)? im a noob and cant figure this out :( :( please HELP! :(

If we were stuck up bastards then we would have never released these tools. Wuts so fucking hard to understand about this proggy? Its easy to understand, but if you can't understand it just close and delete it.

What YOU dont seem to understand is that 1, if this was so damn easy to use, nobody would have problems. 2, If a good tutorial is posted, your afraid that somone might be able to do things that you cant. So if no tutorial is posted, then your mr badass know it all. I'm not a noob, ive been doing this since the beginning of halo, i just dont understand how to work this. I dont know what the hell i'm supposed to do to get a new anything into a multiplayer map because i dont know how the hell to inject it into the tag list without using hmt to rebuild it. If i have to do that, well then there's no point of using this in the first place. If your going to release tools, i would suggest either include a good manual/readme or be willing to answer questions. You could be very famous around here if you help people understand how tou use your program.

god, will someone please help me, i know ppl dont want to but if you just make a simple tutorial and post it, then all us newbs will shut up and not bother you about using this thing again

instead of wasting your time sayin im not helpin you, or sayin figure it out yourself, you could have already gotten the tutorial finished, it will only take 5 min. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE JUST MAKE A TUTORIAL!!!!!!!!

I would be interested in a built in hex editor.
Like when you select an item it opens that meta in a little hex editor window.
Oh, I noticed that at least one of the plugins doesn't fit in it's window, so you can't use some of the options.
It'd be really nice to be able to resize the windows and/or set to fullscreen.

well how bout this, instead of makin a tutorial just tell me how to open compressed maps and then i will figure out the rest myself. thats all i really need to know.

oh and one more thing, is this program only for the full version, or will it work with the trial version too?

It's not just that simple to explain all the concepts and such of what is going on, do a little research and try out basic stuff first, learn the terminology, and everything will make perfect sense. I would write a tut, but i'm a horrible writer. Whatever you do don't go getting mad at CLuis for not thoroughly explaining this proggys use, just be happy that he's put in as much time and effort to create this program, and hell there's no reason why he had to release it. He could have just made it for his personal use and never release anything to us.

I'm certain it's not for the pc trial, and i'm not sure if it's for the full pc version either. I think it might just be for halo xbox, and i'm assuming you tried opening a pc map and got an error saying its compressed, if that's the case then there's nothing you can do, the pc maps aren't compressed.

but incase you meant xbox maps, simply start a game in the level you wish to edit, and press start =>save and quit, or just quit in mp. The decompressed map file will be in one of the cache drives


btw, i just downloaded the version with hmt xml support and damn man this proggy is so sweet, keep up the good work

preach it brotha. same problem as you deathball. what is the point of this program in the first place, besides being able to make the rocket hog and rocket launcher shoot different shit. someone make a fucking tutorial, hopefully on how u get models to look right. just make a damn tut and stop being so stuck up.

I can see where all of you are coming from...

On one hand, you have this new app that has no documentation and no examples of how to do anything with it.

But on the other you have Cluis who has spent many hours coding this thing and it extremely tired after this release - the last thing he wants to do after his hours and hours of coding is spend more time writing a tutorial, so he is hoping that somone else will write one.

To call him stuck up is wrong, because he's not being stuck up - he just doesnt want to write a tutorial ;)

If he didn't want anyone else to be able to do the things that he is able to do, then he would have kept the app to himself I would think.

well then, do you know how to use this app? and if so, mind sharing your knowledge with all us noobs that have no idea how to use it? because im frustrated with this and i cant get it to work... ive spent the past TWO frickin days trying to get it to work and no luck... so please help the community out :(

it allows you to inject meta without having to worry about reflexives as it fixes them for you, it also allows you to easily fix or change dependancies. this allows you to do things such as, import new projectiles, from sp into mp, much easier then before (for xbox).

How to make 2 rocket launchers, 1 with tank explosion, 1 with normal rocket explosion

1. save meta for rocket projectile
2. find somewhere to inject recket meta and inject it
3. on the right side of app change filename to what is desired and change tag type to "proj"
4. save changes
5. on right side of app, find and select the rocket explosion effect
6. in bottom left under "dependancy to swap with", select scorpion shell explosion and click "swap" button
7. click save changes
8. repeat 1,2,3 for rocket launcher weapon [weap], except change the tag type to "weap" instead of proj
9. swap another weapon for your new weapon
10. wow your done

and there are many other things this program could potentialy be used for.

Ok, could you help me just a little more? i cant find something to inject the meta into, it keeps saying meta being injected it larger that current meta. Ijnection failed. WTF?

the meta your trying to inject in takes up more space then is in the thing your overwriting, sorry but just keep looking until you find something that won't be missed that's big enough

i was not calling cluis specifically stuck up, i was saying this to those in the modding community that are like this. im sorry if i offended you cluis. but could someone please share with me how this program can make models appear correct. do you just inject hte model meta from sp over the madel you added?
