Tut:
1. Find the weapon/vehicle/whatever you want to make invisible in the mod2 tag
2. Open up the Dependacy swapper.
3. Find the bits of the model you want to be invisible. If you want it all to be invisible, do all the tags;
4. Make all the tags "soso" type, and select "frag light"
5. Go in game, and completely invisible.

This is probably known, but its good to not have to edit the cryoglass.

Only thing I think I would change is the two programs that you mention. Although HMT for mac has a dependency swapper, the HMT for PC does not.

How is this superior to cryoglass?

maybe you can like change the color of the frag light or something like that and have a blue clock effect. i might look into this for modding map. but for future reference you might want to put some pics in

cryoglass has some visibility. try it on a large object and you will see what I mean.
