wow look at all those views on my topic =). Srry i have not posted in forever but i currently don't mod anymore and some of the tut may be outdated? Well to everyone who uses good luck and i'll check on every once or so =)

I put all the vehicles into beaver creek lol.
I put a warthog at each side.
2 banshees on the roof at each side.
a tank on the roof at each side.
and a ghost at each side.

But after a while of playing look what poped-up...

the link for the hmt 3.5 is dead where else can you get that specific HMT 3.5

Okay i am a TOTAL nub at this so please tell what to do.

I downloaded HMT. v3.5 now when i click HaloMapTools it says this


Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0xc60 (3168), Thread id=0x814 (2068
Click OK to terminate the application
Click CANCEL to debug the application


WHAT THE HELL DO I DO!!!!!

your modding trial right...you need to get a HMT for trial...i dont know where to get it, check the utilities section.

how do you get a pelican in bloodgulch the way you said to get a ghost in the other map dident work. please help!

You did something the map couldn't handle. Change what you think the problem is or reinstall the game to get fresh maps. I RECOMMEND creating a folder of fresh maps by copying and pasting the maps into a seperate folder BEFORE modding them. This way you can always open the backup maps to see what the original settings were if you are trying to change something back. Good luck modding =P

ok, i got HMT 3.5 but it won't let me open the maps...it says "This is not a valid Halo map" or "Could not find file"

so i can't even OPEN the maps. if i could get them open, i could already have made about 3-4 maps...

any suggestions?

HMT can't open bitmaps.map or sounds.map. I don't think it can open ui.map either?
