Out of curiosity, Team 3volved guys, did you verify that the weapons switched and dropped in multiplayer, before testing system link? You probably did, but I am just wondering.
I can make the sword switch to the useless sword successfully after aging, but so far I haven't made a gun become another gun without freezing the game.

Yes. Why? Is the aging weapon effect completely incompatible with system link? Please say no. I have just spent considerable time getting it to look darned good, and I need SLC.xzodia wrote:Is this in split screen?
That's part of why I asked if 3volved had tested it in multiplayer before sys link. I wanted to verify that sys link is the problem.

btw i've been crusing through the hex of H2V and found something that might work (and be slc), you can make the gun blow up

I was wondering about that. The heat detonation threshold is also in the Entity plugin. I suspect it would just render the weapon useless without dropping it, but it's certainly worth a try.
There is also the "Detonates when dropped" flag, which I don't think I've tinkered with. Ideally that would make the gun disappear after being dropped.

So what is it you are trying to do? Make the weapon single use? Wouldn't that be accomplished with what I said.
Or are you trying to make it work like the single player sword? If so why not use a weapon that has a charge life such as the alien sniper?
