you are going to have to be a little more specific as to what you are trying to accomplish and where you are now in the process. are you talking about applying a ppf that you downloaded, or are you talkin about adding another map to the multiplayer menu? if you just want to add another map to the menu then follow the step by step process that i showed you. after you configure your mainmenu.map then you can transfer the new map to your xbox. im assuming that you have a modded xbox and that you know how to ftp files from your computer to your xbox and that you know where to put the maps on your xbox?

for example coagulation=canyon i need to put the canyon into my new map so i can apply my ppf.i do have a modded xbox and have put mods on before.i am just sick having to ftp and change the mods every day.

so youre trying to install a ppf called "canyon" that is for coagulation. i got that part. im not sure what you mean when you say "my new map". in order to apply a ppf to a map you need the ppf, which you got, and then the original unedited map you are going to apply it to. using ppf-o-matic apply the ppf to the map. the "iso" file would be your map, and the "patch" would be the ppf. after you did that, name it whatever you want and transfer it to your xbox where all the other multiplayer maps are. then go into the mainmenu.map and edit the map # like i explained making sure that you have the correct scenario name (matches the name of the map you just transfered). then sign both your map and the mainmenu.map. then just go into the game and you should have another level added to the multiplayer menu. i hope that helps

i just need to put the coagulation map in the map i am making.that way when i select my map i can select the original map and i can select a modded map

and what map are you making. do you mean the mainmenu.map. you cant put a map in another map. if you just edit the mainmenu and add more maps youll be able to play all the original along with whatever modded ones you decide to include. im sorry but im not really followin you and this is about as basic of an explanation that i can give. i guess youll just have to go search for more tutorials.

no i dont have live and i never use aim. maybe you should try clearing your cache or somethin because if the mod youre using has swapped bipmaps then you will NEED to clear your cache for it to work or else it will just load whatever is in the cache.

you got a lot of reading to do lol. check out these sites for more info. you should also try looking in the tutorials section or doing a search in halomods.

if all else fails your xbox should have an ip like: 192.168.1.5
and your computer an ip of: 192.168.1.4

to find out your xbox configuration you need a dashboard installed and then you can edit it from there. after all of that set it as a static or dynamic... i cant remember whats what so youre on your own from there.

yeah thats what i use when im connecting with a crossover cable. but i thought i saw somewhere that if youre going through a hub you need dynamic... oh well just try static first.

um...ive modded my coagulation.map and one everything but when i try it, the map won't load.Just says Waiting for everyone to load the map...
The after awhile:You have failed to load the map.
i need a solution to resolve this...

you guys really gotta start reading more before you go asking a bunch of questions. all of this stuff is pretty basic and doesnt require a whole lot of work. but since im a nice guy maybe you should probly read up on RESIGNING YOUR MAPS or CLEARING YOUR CACHE if it deals with bitmaps and other junk.

hahahahahahahahah you IDIOT.... no im just jokin i did the same thing and it took me hours to find out what i did wrong. i think your problem is that you have a "0" in your ip address...try changing it to a one and then see what happens.

EDIT: sorry i didnt read all of your post... if one of your addresses is "169.254.19.214" then youre gonna want your other one at something like "169.254.19.213".... just have a different number at the end. pm me if it doesnt work and ill tell you in more detail.
