You can apply to get in early.

BOTH of my RL friends who I play with on Xbox live ALL THE TIME got in, and I didn't.

I seem to be able to play social matchmaking on live or could you always do this with a silver account?

Well, I could do that for a few days last week. I can't anymore, though. I don't know what it is. It's been going on and off. For a couple of days, I had like 10 people creating silver accounts to play customs and social on.

When did you make that silver account? Because if it was less than a month ago, it's probably the "LOL U GETZ ONE MONTH OF LIVE" thing.

Edit: For the sake of being on-topic, where can I apply to the update? I still hate the new front dashboard, but it has enough tasty features to make it worth it.

Although, on the other hand, I should still enjoy my last days with the blades interface which I love.

One other thing: There better not be some stupid fucking music when you go onto the dashboard. I was cool with the silent one.

But then it wouldn't be a silver account, and I don't think he's really that retarded to be unable to differentiate between gold and silver.

Some people are. A bunch of my friends didn't get why they could only be on gold for a month.

The application process closed a while ago, you'll have to wait until the dashboard comes out for everyone.

OK, thanks. One more question: Are the people who got the NXE update early compatible with those who haven't? I mean, there'll be some incompatibilities like the party system, but can we still play the games together?

If nobody knows, I'm willing to do a test with one of you.

I'm pretty sure you can still play online games regularly its just that non nxe people won't be able to join party (the dashboard kind) invites etc...
And yea it's not that one month thing, I made my gamertag last year, I think it was some kind of weekend promotion thing : P
and no I'm not stupid.

does the new dashboard have easy accessibility to your friends list as the old one did? if so, then is it also as easy to invite them? (Press X)

uh im not sure tbh i'm not that big on live since i only have silver, ill go check now tho
