I guess MAG is their big announcement. I can't picture it taking off. An MMOAG is a new thing for a console. I just see current games where it takes a while to get a party of 16 players to start, I can't imagine trying to manage 256 people in one game. We'll see.

Maybe it'll be "open party"?
If it can really pull it off, it looks like great fun

Most unoriginal game name ever.

Overall, I was fairly unimpressed. I was hoping there would be a few things I'd be like, "Oh that'd be cool, I sort of wish I had a PS3" but it never happened.

A 256 person battle game. It's like an MMORPG but well, action. An MMOAG. It's a shooter game with 256 person battles, basically.

With 8 person squads, sort of like battlefield: bad company. I wasn't really paying attention when they first started talking about it, but is that exclusively for PS3?

ONLY WITH THE POWER OF THE CELL PROCESSOR CAN THIS GAME BE PLAYED. (yes)

Doesn't matter though, 256 players is pretty damn lol. If you do even get that many people I can't imagine it being anything other than unplayable.

If the developers or Sony put up a server for it, then it shouldn't be too bad, right?

It's not a matter of network, it's a matter of there are 256 fucking people in one map. Even if the maps are obscenely huge, I can't imagine that being very fun.

Oh, well my teacher from last year has a PS3 and a HD Projector, so I'll go over to his house and watch it whenever it's released.

I am slightly less pissed. The features might just be enough to make me tolerate this bubbly kiddy BS.

Unfamiliar with the current "blades" interface? O_o

If its not Broken fix it so it is >_>.

Brilliant. :(

I’m happy with Nintendo... watching them play looked fun, and I love swords XD.

Then there is PS3. Its a pity I can only imagine what there reaction would had been if HD-DVD had won. Any who... I still see no reason to get the blasted thing. Did anyone else feel a little (for lack of a better word) ...bored. I mean that 300 Ft tall thing in Resistance 2 was kind of cool ( OOoo Ahhh Factor) and the quick ( really quick) look at Mirror's Edge was nice. None the less every time I see the PS3 I think of this ad for tires.

In the ad they give all the specs of the super awesome fast car with leather seats and all and then they give the line "and its all worth nothing without your tires".

That’s the PS3... a Really Nice car with no tires

So I watched a little bit of gameplay from Shaun White's Snowboarding or w/e, and I was really dissappointed. The game looks just as unrealistic as SSX. Not that the SSX titles weren't fun, I just thought skate. had set the new bar for games of that sort.
I hate watching someone pop an ollie off a booter, then in midair decide to do something retarded like a mctwist. I don't see why they couldn't have made it so you put pressure against the way you're about to spin (liek irl lolz) and then your character would do a spin depending on how much pressure you applied etc etc. I also hate when the board autolocks onto rails/slides like in THPS games. In skate. you had to actually land on a rail and line it up right, I don't see why that couldn't be applied to this game too. :?
w/e I'm just ranting now..

fallout 3 looked pretty cool I thought, I didn't take a good look at it during the conference but when they did the hands on demo it looked like something I could get into.

did anyone manage to catch if it was exclusiveley for ps3 or multiple systems?

just got back from camping and trying to read up on E3. So far all i can say is this.

1. I like how Square Enix is going more for the 360, yay FF13 for 360.
2. Xbox dashboard looks like crap, from the pics ive seen so far.
3. Downloading the fable trailer so i dont have an opinion on that yet.
4. Cant wait for Portal and the old banjo games on XLA.

Dashboard with Gears theme
Legendary Map Pack in Marketplace
Viva Pinata in Games

As I mentioned before, I think the marketplace is a VAST improvement over the original. With the theme the dashboard is better now, but it's still no good.

Themes look stupid. There's no fucking point in the theme if 75% of it is covered. It just looks retarded.
Marketplace now shows significantly less items on screen, meaning more scrolling to find what you want, which is stupid. Functionality can be achieved without reducing convenience.
Games is nay better nor worse.

Zero improvement has been presented.

I think it looks much cleaner, the current one is very cluttered.
