:? really I used to keep up with this project for a while last year, never noticed that they got the Marathon 1 and 2 campaigns working for Aleph One.

I'm certain they have been functional for near, or over a year, probably much longer than that even. I recall playing them a long time ago.

Yeah, all three were there when I installed Aleph One a month ago.

Being able to run right out of the folder is nice, because I could play it at school without having to install it that one day when over half the class was absent and we just fooled around on the computers.

I'm really interested in the story of the games...But its just that the game and the gameplay looks bad...So I end up reading it on other places rather than experiencing it.

The gameplay isn't that bad. Once you figure out that you get health from recharge stations on the wall (like half-life) rather than in health-packs it gets a little easier.

I'm a big Doom fan and since you'd think that Marathon would be similar to Doom due to its release date and genre, I thought that I would love it... But, I found Marathon slow and boring.

these look intresting, for some reason I always thought pmarathon referred to the engine, I was kinda hoping it was Damage Inc. That game was a blast

Yeah, the game is more about the plot than anything else.

Not choosing sides or anything, those who prefer Marathon to Doom say it's better because it isn't just see demon, shoot demon. Instead, you have to repel an alien invasion while three distinct AI personalities struggle over control of the ship (one of whom is going rampant), all with different motives, which makes for a rather complex plot.
