this whole thing seems like a sellout for popularity.

It is.

I don't like it, I like seeing the same people every day, all here for the same
interests. growth is good and all, but this is the wrong way to go about it.

I don't think that it's a big enough section to attract a huge influx of people. Those are all fairly common things that I'm sure people here share the same interest in.

Yeah I'm kinda indifferent now (except for the staff part ) it appears the theme has been fixed mostly (that or my eyes were fucked last night). I just don't care enough because I have become mainly just a cafe' user and an occasional elsewhere poster. At least now I can talk about iPod touch stuff with others.

I dislike the flash tags being turned off and that I know they will never be turned on no matter how much I pester

Also, the "trade-off" for this is that users who choose a different forum style/theme than the default won't get to see any emblems or any other add-ons that everyone on the default one sees.

Bad idea. Keep it fair for everyone.

You've obviously never created a php forum before. To keep it "fair for everyone," they'd have to re-write the script (and every other modification, mind you) that they wrote for the default one again. This is for EVERY LAST ONE. So, no, it is fair.

Jesus christ you need to back up , ive not even joked about it all i have said is i am a dev but do NOT have power.
Quit acting like everyone is against you we want the same thing you want.
I've actualy been one of the people trying to keep things in order and not point fingers, i was also the one who suggested the members designed the new logo.
If that is classed as acting like ive got power then sorry for trying to help you lot.

I like the new front page and how you can submit mods for advertising.
And the forum needed upgrading to phbBB3, I hated the old system, though, you should try getting a new skin and have it so people can have a choice between the current and the one here http://forums.remnantmods.com/index.php I think it is subsliver2 or something...
might make some people stop bitching, though, they may never stop.

Also, I would like to ask you how you guys up graded from phpbb2 to pbpbb3, I have been trying to find out how for a friend.

Woah(!), I havn't been online in a bill-gillion years! Personally I like the old look better, but then again I liked the look before that even better. But I'm not really angry. I mean, at least this site is up and running.
