I like how this is easy on the eyes.

Use it as an example and idea. Perhaps something in Dark Blue and Yellow is in order.

Ads need to GO on Top AND stay there... any where else and they are just a nuisance.

Online banner...er...ribbon, needs its back round made transparent or another color.

Eh, the only thing I like is the no censors option, wich I don't think works yet, still, I appreciate that.

My point of view can be found in my WIP thread for the project I was working on. While I may be just a simple PC modder it's my personal opinion along with some opinions I have listened to along the way. Hope you guys can get all this sorted out and ultimately no friendships are lost between you guys. A lot of those who have spoken in this thread I have looked up to and admired for so long it just hurts to see people at each other like this. And yes, I don't know all the circumstances but that's the point. I'm a simple modder watching my "hero's" go at it tooth and nail and honestly it just makes things a little more worse. It just seems the focus has shifted now from "the advancement of Halo modding" to "who has what and why do they deserve it". As I said, this is me from the outside looking in.

My thoughts can be found here in my last reply: http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopi ... 67#p838267

this is stupid, I don't like all the other modding sections.
halomods is the only forum I have ever book marked, and its the only one I continuously
return to day after day. I like the small "community" all based around halo.

this whole thing seems like a sellout for popularity.

about the forum style... I'm not sure i like it any more.
its cluttered, there is too much extra stuff that every other fricken
forum has, i don't see why we need those other sections here.

That's what I figured. Since we're all about "change" here, why not give a "change" and allow us to "change" our forum style. Install every style that's submitted, that way everyone is satisfied.

/Problem Solved.

Also, the "trade-off" for this is that users who choose a different forum style/theme than the default won't get to see any emblems or any other add-ons that everyone on the default one sees. However, they'll get the style they like. Everyone wins.

EDIT: Oh, and I have to agree. You can't have a site called "halomods" and then have a "Crysis" (and other) modding section(s). I mean, seriously, come on now.

Bad idea. Keep it fair for everyone.

Every Halo game has it's own forum with different subforums.
There is one forum with multi-platform modding.

I really don't see that as a 'sellout'.

I don't like it, I like seeing the same people every day, all here for the same
interests. growth is good and all, but this is the wrong way to go about it.

Agreed, but the new staff doesn't care.
