They also explain how far away everything is, and when you take a picture of the moon, it's what was happening 2 seconds ago, sun is 8 minutes ago, etc. etc. It's pretty cool.

woah. that really makes you think about how it all came to be. I still dont understand that wall of galaxies though.

I too think I missed something about the wall there. Their simulations were nice and robust, though.

My PC can run those simulations on High with 4x AA.

Seriously though, the Universe is so big... I think it's a waste of time and resources researching it. They should just focus on something (still massive and explorable) like our galaxy.

In order to understand the galaxy we live in, i would guess you need to see how the rest of the universe behaves because its like asking whats the weather in australia when you live in alaska.

Eh, that's not really that good of a comparison but I guess it works. Except, it's like being on Pluto and asking what the weather in Georgia is like.
