Free blog/website online backup service?

Seeing as my high school swim team will kick you off the team if they find "objectionable" content on your myspace or blog, I'm definitely going to have to do something about my blog. The older stuff is bad, but still funny, so I want an online backup service that'll store the old pages of my blog so I can delete them but still have a url that my friends can go to to read it. A long time ago on here, one member of halomods presented a url that linked to pretty much a recreation of an old page from halomods dated like 5 years ago or something, when it first started. It looked exactly like it did back then, and that's what I want to do with my blog. I could've googled it but idk what to search for. Any suggestions?

Oh. Hm. Archive.org. How come I didn't once think to google the word archive? Guess I'd better pay more attention in english.

How does the school know the address to your blog? Can it be found through a name search or something?

Schools that pay attention to that are gay. When I was in 8th, our school got all the students' myspace profiles deleted. Well, everyone that went to that school got their account deleted during school hours, so that's what we expect.

Anyways, GTAF's suggestion is probably the way to go, unless you have a server, you could just save it on there.

Is that even legal?

Why would schools do that. I've never heard of anything like that over here.

That's what I was wondering. If I went to a school and they told me they wanted my MySpace URL so they could delete it, I'd be like, "Uh, no." :?

It's a form of oppression, and just another step towards a police state... >_>

Unless the Blog/Myspace in question Shows(or has) some kind of Hate, disdain, prejudice Or other issue(s) with a person(or People's) Race, Gender, Sexual Preference, Religion, gang affiliation, or otherwise on those kinds of grounds, let it be association or affiliation with any hate group, can be grounds for inquiry. "Objectionable" could be any number of those things. In the past, that's what I've seen with removal of players from various sports teams at my school. If you conflict with the School's policy, they can and sometimes will not hesitate to remove you.

Then again, the severity of such content is subjective. The school can use public things like that, and if severe enough, can dig deeper and look into criminal, disciplinary. and psychological history if need be. Unless you fall under one of the things above, don't sweat it. They won't kick you off for a couple poo poo jokes here and there. But if the Find Download and/or video links to 2 Girls 1 Cup or something on the grounds of that, best remove that with great haste.

And Andrew, I don't think awareness on the school's part makes it "Gay." If that got people's stuff deleted, should've been using school computers for their intended use instead of looking for the "hottest latest and greatest,'OTS-Killed' Proxy site" to get on myspace to check comments, or that one really pretty girl(You know the one.) to check her interests and tastes to make a move. I tell ya, A Laptop with a Cell Card will go a long way. But Deleting the Myspace Accounts? That's flat malicious.

Do you mean everyone who went to that school got their Myspace deleted? Or everyone who went on Myspace during school got them deleted.

I would be fine with that. If some idiot wants to check their social networking profile, their loss.

I don't have a MyFace, or SpaceBook, or whatever the hell you're using for the week. I see no need for one.

How'd they "get" their profiles deleted? You can only do that when you're logged in and go to settings or whatever yourself, it's not like the school's tech guys can just go in and have profiles deleted at their whim or something. But anyway, I think if you go all the way back in my blog you'll find some quite humorous but sometimes quite disgusting and demeaning stuff. (like about teachers that I didn't like and stuff) So I'm sure they'd find that not gud. HPDarkness, all they have to do to find your myspace or blog is google your name or internet username or whatever. I'm sure it's not a huge deal because if you google 0m3g4Muff1n987 you'll just find a bunch of unused phpBB forums me and cryticfarm tried out a long time ago, but if they did somehow find my blog and read that stuff I'd most likely be done for. Better safe than sorry, right? So I'll probably just back up my old stuff now.

Oh yeah, now I remember, the other reason I wanted to back it up is because some of the newer posts were posted by my friend who knows my password to my gmail account, so one day he gets on my blog and posts all the stuff you can probably see on there now. Actually, by the time you read this I might have deleted the stuff so I'll post the archives.org link in here when I'm done. Most of the stuff he posted was quite funny in a nerdy way.

EDIT: Aw, what the FUDGE?!?

Reminds me of a comedy act, did you perchance get it from that?

School computers were crap. Never used them. Edit: Also, lol at the special girl comment.

No.

And it isn't a terrible school, it's merely a few bad, or rather, stupid apples.
