Otherway around, 10 is the best, highest scores make semifinals.
Voted you a 10, Walla.
Mine - Currently 2.56 and dropping, people are voting destructively now so please vote me a 10. I think mine is better than 90% of the others, it just got hit with a 1 storm on the final submission day. I will win if i can make the darn semi finals

My Brother's - i know it looks crappy but the idea is still funny and is actually better than a lot of other hex168 submissions. This one has less votes than mine so high votes will make a big difference, currently 2.19 and catching up to mine.

Edit: oh my submission is actually made from 15 different pictures, just to give you an idea how painfull it was to make :p

Hex168 was a skill contest to show anything abnormal under the power of hex. Since it's a skill contest, voting is supposed to be about Originality, Creativity, Entertainment, and Production Quality, but there are atleast 1000 out of 2564 submissions that are completely crap or nothing unusual about them - and all of these people and their friends are voting 1's on everyone making it hard for the skilled entries to actually win. Votes give you a score and will determine who makes the semifinals, then judges will pick the winners. 360 prizes are awarded: xbox 360, 3 games, 1 year xbox live gold, and a 2day/3night trip to the opening convention Nov 22. The contest is no longer accepting submissions but voting is still up for another 2 days and I'd really like to make the semifinals.

i didnt understand a word you just said. Creativity? Originality? for what?

All you do is submit a picture with something abnormal in it. It gets rated based on how creative your picture is.

I guess the votes don't matter anymore, they just decided that they're going to look through them all. I knew the turnout wasn't as high as they anticipated..

From the Office of Dr. Jason Q. Lutz
Fellow believers of Hex 168 - the Beginning is Nigh!
We here at the bunker have been overwhelmed by the amazing and strong evidence that you have found all across the country. Having spent many years looking for such evidence, not to mention my favorite shoes, I now feel that my long struggle is over. Everyone will soon know the transformative powers of Hex 168!
The research staff has been working non-stop to catalog and validate your evidence. Their approach was consistent with the highest scientific practices. However, despite their best efforts, they inform me that the validation process has been infiltrated with some bad data. Yes, that's right, there is evidence that someone has tampered with our test data - it's a conspiracy I tell you!!!
Nonetheless, have no fear - I will personally ensure that each piece of data is validated. Yes, that is correct, EVERY piece of submitted evidence will be judged according to the original guidelines. Starting this morning, I have assembled our panel of qualified judges, and they will research and score each piece of evidence based on our research criteria - (1) originality (2) best evidence of the unusual among the mundane (3) entertainment value (4) production quality AND (5) voting score. Each of these factors will be weighed equally to score ALL evidence. This way we can ensure that evidence tampering will not invalidate those who are worthy.
We have also found that scientifically increasing the data pool will alleviate any chance for error. Good news for you - this means that more submissions will have a chance to win tickets to the special event heralding the new beginning. To that end, the research staff will increase the evidence pool as follows:
Category Semi-Finalists Finalists Winners
0-1 Single Occurrences 240 120 60
Group 6 Occurrences 120 60 30
Group 30 Occurrences 20 10 4
Total No. of People 1560 780 360
As stated in the Official Rules, 360 people will receive their white box of incalculable power 6 days in advance of the rest of the world and be VIPs at the "Zero Hour" event heralding the new power of Hex 168. In addition, 420 additional finalists will also receive a prize - an invitation to "Zero Hour", where thousands of gamers from around the world are invited to make the pilgrimage to an undisclosed location in the Mojave desert to witness the dawning of the next generation of gaming. The event will begin on November 20 when the sun sets on the desert horizon and end at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22.
Hold fast true believers - the Beginning is Nigh.

dude, it sounds SERIOUSLY fishy to me. i doubt he is going to give anything out, and besides, with anything under 4 you will probably have very little to no chance of winning if this thing isn't bogus.
but, if you do win something, can i come over and play?
