I'm 99.9% sure it is mandatory to have insurance...or else you go to jail.iGeo wrote:Sucks about your car GT, hopefully she had insurance... (again, why isn't it mandatory over there?!) and it's good to hear you're O.K. hopefully this will teach her to pay more attention when driving.

It is, I remember someone came into my drivers ed class who drove without insurance and got in huge trouble for it. And yes, jail time is possible, either that or a suspended/revoked license and a fine/community service.GametagAeonFlux wrote:I'm 99.9% sure it is mandatory to have insurance...or else you go to jail.iGeo wrote:Sucks about your car GT, hopefully she had insurance... Cellphones are a problem, My father's car stereo synchronizes with his cellphone. All he has to do is hold down a button on his steering wheel, and say "Call (insert name here)" it calls them. The Mic is located right above the driver, and it automatically turns down the radio to hear the person talking. I don't understand why they can't just use that in every car. It is a lot safer than using a cellphone, and also a lot more efficient.iGeo wrote:That's why you make it illegal to use cell phones whilst driving, but I'm sure America has a very good reason to allow it, one that's more important than saving lives.

I believe the old saying is "you get what you pay for".HPDarkness1 wrote:Cellphones are a problem, My father's car stereo synchronizes with his cellphone. It WILL be a standard feature in all cars someday, but it's not right now. And some people just can't afford the Bluetooth Hands-Free, etc, stuff.

Heh, I was in a car crash last night. My friend was being a complete fucking idiot, took a roundabout at about 50-60mph, went into a slide, the car flipped up and a post stopped the car from completely flipping, the post went into the side of the car, inches from my head. If I wouldn't have put my arm up, my head would have gone through a window and if the car was a foot in another direction, I probably would have sustained a serious injury if not dead.
With that in mind, he's no longer my friend. My chest hurts.

That's where I was sitting...

Just phoned MS support regarding RRoD... the woman would not stop summarizing the situation, it was really annoying. I think the call was being recorded, so she was trying to deal with the situation text-book style... every five minutes it was "O.K. so to Summarize George, You're calling today because you are having a three red light problem with your Xbox 360 Console, I have taken your information and your order is being processed" she said that at least three times.
