I don't like how it's the new fad now. I don't even want to see it because of how the people are now, and all the girls are just annoying.

I see it as you should enjoy something if you enjoy it. As I did, or have for that matter. Hate the people who jump on the band wagon to be "cool". Fuck those people. I saw it because I enjoyed the book. And I will admit it's the first book that I read all the way through. That's how much I enjoyed it atleast. I thought there were a few people who enjoyed the book here, so I figured i'd ask their opinion on the movie but this thread has proven me wrong, oh well. I never thought that the book would be this popular nor would being an "emo vamp" or anything related in some way to that.

Well, I have to see this movie this weekend. My girlfriend's reserved tickets for us, and I'm signed. Christ kill me now.

Heh, my friend went to the midnight showing because his girlfriend went. His thoughts:

"It was ok...well, no, no it wasn't. I honestly just went to be with Michelle."

I saw it yesterday.
I didn't like how the re-arranged certain events, but other than that I thought it was good.
I was surprised and pleased with the girls who went to the movie. I was sitting in angst during the commercials, scared for my ears as I thought all there'd be was a bunch of screaming school girls, but they were perfectly quiet.

The part where they fought James was awesome. I'm pretty excited to see some werewolf fights in New Moon (assuming they make it, anyways).

Yes, I know.
"OMG U LIEK TWILIGHT WTF"

It's a popular book, I like it, get the fuck over it, have a nice day.

godspeed cuda, godspeed.

as for my opinion, i think it's total garbage. i haven't seen it because i wouldn't waste the $7 or bandwidth on such trash. emotionally damaged vegetarian vampire falls in love with emotionally damaged girl. if the lonely overweight goth chick in your middle school (who coincidentally thought she was a vampire) could make a movie, this would be it.

and honestly, just try to keep a straight face and tell me he doesn't look like a girly-boy. whatever happened to badass vampires, like in blade, or even the classic count dracula? </rant>

You honestly just compared this movie to Blade...WOW. Maybe you should check your library of what's a good movie and what's not.

Saw it last night with my girlfriend.. It wasn't AS bad as I thought I guess. I haven't even touched the books, so I went in with an open mind hoping it might at least be entertaining. It was corny, didn't make a ton of sense, and and has some funny-lookin dudes in it. Rating it as a movie, it wasn't awful. It's not a movie I'll ever plan to see again, but Amelie enjoyed most of it, so I'd say we at least had a good time.

Final verdict: Not as bad as bandwagon initially presented (to me). However, I haven't read the books, so to me this was purely another movie with no stigma attached. Don't go see it alone, or with your guy friends, but it's ok to see with a girlfriend or close group of lady friends.

It's not a big deal if people don't like Twilight, I could care less. But people making baseless and ignorant comments about it is getting a bit ridiculous.
Just ignore it Kibito :3

I view it much in the same way I might a Barbie movie. I can't help but make baseless and ignorant comments about it.

Wow. Try looking into some literature that isn't complete trash (Kurt Vonnegut, Frank Herbert, Lovecraft, etc.), and then you will understand why Twilight is a cancer upon all of literature.

This may be hard to comprehend, guys, but some people have different tastes in literature and movies than you do.
