PS3 Fails... Wii Soars

well.. i guess sony set a world record.. 3 people died.. and 100's people got trampled and so many shortages its unbleiveable.. altough i can belive a target had 200

i cant belive they didnt get robed. well i bet ps3 will be in the guiness book for "most people too die becasue of launch of console"

Sony has figured out about 50-62 % of there products sent to the usa. or Non-responsive or Junk systems and are getting the complaits to make that ture.

I don't get the console people anymore. All over the internet and news, "RAWR PS3 PEOPLE HURT!"and "(PS3/XBOX360/Wii) SUX! (PS3/XBOX360/Wii) RULEZ!"

They blow all this money on this box for gaming, when all this time, for decades now, There has been a system that today, can still beat them both. PC. No Big Machines every 5-6 years, but an upgradeable Machine with free online on almost every single game out there.(WoW as an exception) And Graphic Capability to exceed PS3 and Xbox360. Not to mention, the ability to "modify" it to play console games. Not to mention, all the micropurchasing, Music Players, and down loadable games, and VERY easy to mod.

Consoles are a far better value when it comes to dedicated gaming. If you wanted a PC that could play the (yet unreleased) Unreal 3 engine at the kind of settings Gears of War achieves on the Xbox 360, you'd be several thousand dollars in the red. You can get the same for $299 on a console. Are standard PC graphics going to be better than the Xbox 360 in two years? Probably. But at a cost of roughly $100 a year, keeping up with consoles is still cheaper than PC's. Don't get me wrong, I love PC gaming; but there is a console market.
Not to mention, while it is possible for me to hook my PC up to my TV, it is rather unwieldy and annoying to switch back and forth (I don't want to do my homework on a 32" screen); a console is dedicated for gaming - I don't have to worry about changing it back and forth.

But you dont get the angle I'm talking about. In those two years for everything to even out, PC still has the longevity. True, the 360 has a HD that is replaceable, but from all those saved games, in 2-3 years, think how many you'd have. Unlike on the PC, instead of being limited to about 10 GB, PC can go up to 1 TB. As for me, I won't have to worry about memory for some time. I got 300 Gigs backing my machine now, and a good enough card to run Need For Speed Carbon on almost everything high with no skipping or FPS issues.

I do agree consoles are good on the short run, but PC has endurance. For Example, The N64. A great system, lasted a few years, but then PS2 came out, shorty followed by the XBox. Slowly but surely, software guys dropped them slowly until they were phased out completely. last Game I saw Made for it was THPS 4. PC however, Has gone strong for decades, with no dwindling software designers, and a continually opening market. In a few years, We will be looking forward to the next Next-Gen Console as our 360's. Wii's, and PS3's would be collecting dust. Guarantee PC will still be around then too, still strong.

PS3 is going to fail

The best nex gen battle is going to be between Xbox 360 and the Wii.

The 360 has the hardware and software. The wii has the entertainment, Playing Wii (Which i waited for in meijer) is insanely fun. I think it will end up a tie. So I say "Down with PS3, lets get wii"

True enough. PC's are much more upgradeable, and there are great exclusive PC titles. I love PC gaming; all I'm saying is that there is a console market out there, and there probably will be for some time.
