Wrong. "buy it now" is not allowed on ANY PS3 auction on eBay. New rules. Read the paper.

Because you can set the buy it now price outrageously high, and some other reason I forgot.

ok, that makes sense. thanks

edit:

at 8pm today the target in my town started letting people "camp" out for the wii. it is now 10:20 pm. the police have been called twice, theres over 100 people in line (only 69 in stock) and the line for the ps3 was 15 people max. i guess i have to wait for the next shipment to come before i get one.

I asked the Guy at Best Buy about the whole No BUY NOW On Ebay for the PS3, Sony apparently struck a deal with them saying that for 90 days after release, Buy Now is restricted.

Doesn't playstation 3 have blue ray or somehting?

I think that's the only reason why I'd buy it.

Yeah it does. But that's not necessarily a reason to buy it seeing as HD-DVD is cheaper and will probably win the format war.

many of Sony's formats are either failures or in the process of failing. The same fate awaits Blu-Ray, IMO.

Yeah, out of the 21 (or thereabouts) formats they have put out, the 1/4" Floppy has been the only one to become the de-facto standard.

I got my Wii this morning... I was #14... waited outside for 9 hours.

I called my buddy and he brought an Xbox and TV to me, we were playing Halo out infront of WalMart and ended up running through the entire Halo 2 campaign out there in Co-op.

I had fun out there and the 9 hours were so worth the Wii.
