those people are racist, and i agree with the work place thing it is a requirement on most jobs in America you speak English.Leiukemia wrote:My rant: When people whine about people not speaking their language. I think it's rediculous. I'm talking about the ones who think they shouldn't even be allowed in their country unless they speak english. Seriously, I hear so much more garbage and annoying crap from people who SPEAK MY OWN LANGUAGE. It's just a small annoyance that people can just learn to get over.
Now about it affecting workplaces. I'm sure someone would think or reply to this saying it does become an issue in the workplace, which I don't deny. IMO though, speaking english is just like a quilification. I don't think it should be something to judge someone for. Like say a job requires you to have computer knowledge. I consider speaking english as an option, not something that should be forced.

I can't fucking believe this shit on the news. What's a top news story? School shootings? Hell no. Let's argue about immunization shots before you go to a NASCAR event. Yeah, newsworthy stuff right here.
People are seriously complaining because public officials (Police, medical response, fire response, etc) were recommended to get immunization shots before they come in contact with a massive body of people. They were not forced. There was no "NASCAR FANS HAVE DISEASES" or other crap said. People take it to mean that. They see one side of the story, and base their entire opinion on it, while being completely ignorant to the big picture. The people should be immunized, because their job calls for them to be. People say, "Well, why not suggest it to all people?" Because all people don't do the work these officials are doing. That's like saying all people should carry guns, because police come in contact with hostile individuals, and citizens could as well. Everyone needs guns because police have guns. Everyone needs to be recommended to have shots because officials are. Come the fuck on. They didn't even force it, they just suggested it. It should be common sense anyways, why is it that as soon as it's stated, it gets blow way-the-hell out of proportion? The media sure has a way of doing this.

speaking of which, i find it stupid that they canceled school for the entire cleavland area cause of it. I can understand close the school that had the shooting for a day but the entire area is just bull. What's a top news story? School shootings?

It's always the .1% that ruins it for everyone else. Do the people who disobey laws get punished? Not really. The law didn't stop them the first time, why would it stop them again? Stricter laws are good to an extent, but in many scenarios, they use crime as a scapegoat for pushing their own agendas. I used a law argument, but the same principle applies to closing schools. There was no reason to close schools. Maybe if you had a large group of people going around doing shootings, yeah. But be realistic, school shootings don't happen every day, and even when they do happen, they're rarely, if ever, related. To say that there is an imminent danger is absurd.
To add to the whole school shootings thing, I sick of people fucking constantly bullying and picking on other kids. It is always to fucking late when people realize what they have done just by making fun of someone else. School Shootings have never really been huge news to me until today, when my own school was threatened, and for those who have not heard, just google Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. There are plenty of articles out.

If you're going to blame bullies, then also blame every kid at the school. Why did no one attempt to become his friend or talk to him? Why do people feel all sorry for someone after they die/commit suicide when they most likely wouldn't even talk to them?Phaile wrote:To add to the whole school shootings thing, I sick of people *** constantly bullying and picking on other kids.
There's deeper reasons than simply getting picked on that affect peoples' decisions to murder or commit suicide. Most of the time, it is a psychological thing, and may not be preventable by friends...but it's at least worth a try. Meh.
That reminds me... There's this retarded girl in my History class who doesn't watch the news because the world 'is too mean'. Lemme sew your eyes shut for ya so you don't 'get too scared'. I hate people who shut themselves off of the harsh facts.youhoo7 wrote:gahh, i realy hate it how on the news they talk about something tragic like a billion ppl dieng here and there...then there next subject is the world oldest twinkie, and it gets realy distracting, and ppl 4get aobut the dead ppl..wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf...og ummm
Anyways, my real rant is this:
Ok, so I go to a school with the mascot "Blue Devil". Living in a religious sensitive state (nothing against those who have a religion, mind you.), soccer moms called my school and complained. So now we have to change our mascot.
That's not what pisses me off, I just think it's rediculous. Now, the real rant here is this:
My school is full of nerds. Or, what people here would call noobs, because they are just that, noobs. They talk about wanting to go into the future to get cool weapons and going back in time into the civil war to blow everything up and screw up history. And they just go on about shit like that, which is completley annoying.
Ok, so heres the problem, these 'noobs' are years behind me in internet memes and such (By next year, I'm going to be hearing about mudkipz, last year they just found out about leeroy jenkins... yeah, its sad). So now, more than half of my school wants to change our mascot to..
A god damn ninja.
How retarded does "The Nuames Ninjas" sound? Or "The Ninja Daily" (school newspaper).
It's really aggravating.
But, don't get me wrong. I don't think I'm cool because I can call other people nerds. I'm not like that at all; I only get like this when they interfere with my calm, which, they have because I hear non stop shit about how better nerds are than other people are, and how cool it would be to be a jedi, or whos calcuator is better than who's... I'm seriously living in a freakin stereo-type.
